Sir Alex Ferguson is a legendary Scottish football manager who had an incredibly successful career managing Manchester United from 1986 to 2013. He is regarded as one of the most successful managers ever, winning 38 trophies with Manchester United including 13 Premier League titles and two UEFA Champions League titles. Ferguson was born in Glasgow in 1941 and had a playing career before becoming a manager, first with smaller Scottish clubs and then with Aberdeen and Scotland's national team before taking over at Manchester United. He retired in 2013 after over 26 years in charge of Manchester United.
