This document describes 6 simple machines: the inclined plane, lever, pulley, wedge, screw, and wheel and axle. For each machine, it provides a definition and real-world example. The inclined plane is exemplified by a ramp, the lever by a seesaw, the pulley by a light switch, the wedge by nail clippers, the screw by a light bulb attachment, and the wheel and axle by a wheelbarrow.
