Both Ali-Baba and Aladdin start out poor and living on the streets, but find treasure that makes them rich. While they both marry tough women, only Aladdin becomes a prince, and Ali-Baba remains simply a rich man. There are differences in the stories as well, as Ali-Baba has no flying carpet, monkey, genie, or 40 thieves like in Aladdin, and Aladdin features no talking tiger like in Ali-Baba.
