Major Trends in the Large Power Generation Equipment MarketScottMadden, Inc.
The U.S. electric generating fleet has been undergoing major transformations driven by regulatory policy, generation costs, renewables, technology developments, and customer expectations. Because of this transition, traditional planning and operating processes have all been shaken up, and require generation companies to think and act differently. Here we will survey the current landscape of electric generation, and examine how these key transformations are forcing changes. This presentation, provided at the EUCI Negotiation and Purchasing Strategies for Gas-Fired Power Generation Equipment Conference, reviews the energy sector, baseload retirements, and the ‘new normal' for baseload generation in the U.S.

Commercial energy storage (battery) project opportunities v.2.2Michael Pon
There are small commercial energy storage opportunities in time-shifting energy that will be available because of the Tesla PowerPack and other fixed energy storage systems. This PG&E tariff analysis should be of interest to any renewable energy project developer or building/facilities energy management system project developer. The ideas discussed could apply nationwide in many electric utility service areas. These opportunities are economically accessible to commercial enterprises even without government incentives or combination with solar or wind generation.
Energy Management Systems for the Food Manufacturing IndustryMatrixSteve
With so many pressures (economic, social, environmental, etc.) many companies are turning to Energy Management Systems to manage and reduce their energy costs and environmental footprint. Using our industry-leading technology and expertise, we are helping by providing energy management systems.
On Wednesday 1 March 2017, during the Energy Storage Summit conference in London, Michael Willemot presented the flywheel technology, particularly Levisys flywheel. He also presented the Levelized Cost of Storage, the most accurate way to compare cost of technologies, and why hybrid storage systems are optimal solutions.
This presentation was part of a panel discussion on energy storage technology comparison and applications.
What the future holds for oil and gas industryinoxindia123
In this age of energy transition, the world moves towards a reduced carbon future. The role of oil and gas industry has therefore come under the spotlight. What part will the oil and gas industry play in future? Will it survive successfully? Will it affect the demand of oil field equipment?

In this research work we have developed a strategy in which the various parameters that influence the occurrence of pulmonary disease have been gathered from survey of doctors who specialize in diagnoses of pulmonary disease and diagnostic recipes involving if the else rules were built and given labels, which were used as target for machine learning algorithms [Logistic , SVM, RBF, Naïve Bayes ] for identification of input dataset of symptoms of subjects . Multiple designs of these classifiers were implemented and best possible machine algorithm was identified for implementing the complete methodology. Results shows that there was no absolute answer for the design and selection of best possible machine algorithm as evident from the results based on multiple statistical tests, therefore , distance from ideal values of statistical test to find best classifier with most optimized parameters was calculated and the classifier which had closest to these ideal values was found and declared the best classifier for identification of pulmonary diseases presence or absence .as per results naïve bayes classifier is performing best which is evident from the statistical test scores .

Small Power Generation Plant solution (SPGP) continues to be an important segment of Electrical Energy production. The increasing demand for energy has to be satisfied while considering the impact on the global environment. SPGP plays an important role in industrial applications. Small size cogeneration plants sited close to industrial energy consumption can deliver power with high fuel efficiency and low emissions, and with modest space requirements. CRDenergy can offer to its customers complete solutions from feasibility studies to the actual turnkey cogeneration plant construction, aftermarket services and customized financial solutions. We are using oil and gas industrial port city Port Harcourt city (PH) in Nigeria, African largest economy as a case study, with its complexity, it reflects the shortage of power or barriers and opportunity encountered in every growing economy . Avoiding the structural complexity of building large scale power plant; SPGP offers a flexible, realiable, close to consumer option that can be multipled in multiple units and easily transformed to negbourhood service station in industrial hubs.

Singapore Solar Energy Profile: Singapore Advances towards Solar, Clean Energ...Solar Magazine
Singapore continues to advance towards achieving its renewable energy and climate change goals, installing rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on public housing, and more recently with the launch of floating solar energy R&D initiatives and project development. The country could be doing more, faster, according to some, more specifically when it comes to policy-making and adoption of solar energy in the commercial and industrial (C&I) sector, however.
Solar power generation capacity in Singapore is likely to exceed 350 megawatts-peak (MWp) by 2020, a national goal...

Module 4: Bankability
South Africa launched its Renewable Energy program in 2010. Since then, SA has had four extremely successful rounds of bidding, with over 6,000MWs allocated across wind, solar PV, CSP, landfill gas, biomass and small hydro projects. R193 billion (USD15.5 bn) of FDI has been injected into the economy through this new asset class. The program has been highly commended with applause from local & international developers and the financing fraternity alike.
South African banks have been at the forefront of the financing for these renewables projects, which are funded in Rands with a Rand PPA, backstopped by the SA Government.

The Lpg can be a power source for small and medium sized power plants especially in such a country like Myanmar, for many reasons, including but not limited to limitations and constraints to hydropower, natural gas, LNG, renewable energy sources, but also the decreasing LPG prices and the shorter time-frame to set-up the LPG power plant, and environmental friendliness.

IEA, WEO Special Report on Southeast Asia Energy Outlook, 2013
Southeast Asia’s energy demand is set to increase by over 80% between 2013 and 2035, a
rise equivalent to current demand in Japan.
• Coal is expected to remain as the dominant fuel for the region, accounting for 58% of
growth in electricity generation in ASEAN by 2035
• LNG is likely to be used as an alternative fuel to meet peak demands, provide flexibility or
to address environmental concerns
• Growing potential for renewable energy
