1. Production target
 Any serious commercial aquaculture venture would set
production targets that must be achieved or exceeded in
order to be profitable.
 Production targets must be sustained by the production
system employed.
 The higher the targeted production per unit area, the
greater is the culture intensity.
 The greater the intensity, the higher is the potential
return but the greater the risks, costs and technological
complexity.
