Design Engineer at Modjoul, South Carolina, US (2016-Present)
 Part of a small, close knit R&D team working with ARM cortex (32 bit M-series)
controllers and IOT protocols like MQTT to develop a wearable product.
 Designed a system that maintains constant connectivity to the cloud with both cellular
network and WiFi to send 27 sensors and GPS data using MQTT protocol. The design
will go into production by February 2017.
 Brought down the power requirements of the wearable device by 60%.
 Responsibilities include testing and verification of the designed system and sensors,
collaborating and interacting with data scientists to aid in the machine learning based on
the wearable device.
Software Engineer at Larsen and Toubro (L&T) Technology Services, India (2013-2015)
 Successfully designed and developed the entire Graphic User Interface (GUI) for Air
Defense Fire Control Radar system on Qt 5.0, C++.
 Radar and target tracking development on OpenGL 2D graphics.
 Delivered a prototype GUI that was tested to be installed in the Defense Radar, first
of its kind in India.

Projects (Clemson University):
 Trash bin level checker (ongoing): Developing an algorithm using ARM cortex,
ultrasonic & infrared sensors to classify if a large trash bin is full or not. Explored several
weight measuring techniques like FSRs and conductive sheets etc.
 Temperature controlled automated system: Developed a low cost and accurate
temperature (upto 0.7% tolerance) based test tube control system in a multithreading
RTOS environment to change the position of a test tube which is dependent on the cold
temperature (upto -50 degrees centigrade). Control using linear actuators and relays.
 Criminal Recognition Application: Developed an application using FuzzyCLIPS 6.1b
to provide a degree of similarity in terms of percentage, between eye witness description
and criminal records. Accuracy of matching improved by 20-30% for minimum of 4
parameters.
 SVD in OpenCL: Implemented the Single Valued Decomposition (SVD) algorithm on
FPGA Altera board using OpenCL. Improved the hardware performance using parallelism
by 15% for SVD and geometric filters compared to their software sequential implementation.

trips to planetariums and museums.
