The Madison-Oneida BOCES School Library System received multiple grants to support educational initiatives:
1) They received $4,114 from the Community Foundation of Oneida & Herkimer Counties and $500 from the New York Library Association to purchase adaptive toys for special education.
2) They received a $20,000 grant from the Library of Congress to provide training for teachers to develop lesson plans incorporating primary sources and the Common Core standards.
3) A $500 grant from the Walmart Foundation supported field trips for students to a Teen Book Festival to promote reading.
