• Servers are treated like pets, not cattle
• Implemented chef hosted on windows and linux

• Cookbooks not environment agnostic
• Attributes reside in multiple places (cookbooks, environments, roles)
• No naming conventions
• Forking of community cookbooks blocking us from upstream fixes
