ETHICAD.ORG – Atlanta, GA 2000-2008
Nonprofit group established with Michael E. DeBakey, MD, and founded based upon
contributions from its membership with the goal to institute voluntary standards for the evolving
phenomena of DTC advertising.

Developed a National Advisory Board of 30+ prominent clinical/scientific experts and respected
Ivy League educators charged with creating national standards for DTC advertising. Created a
strategic partnership between EthicAd and FDA and liaised with public service organizations,
FDA, and NIH at various meetings/conventions to promote acceptance of standards that were
largely adopted by Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA).

Leading medical communication company and premier developer of innovative educational
media for the pharmaceutical industry with expertise in video, computer animation, interactive
multimedia, and print media.

Co-founded HSM with Lee Bobker, a five-time Academy Award-nominated writer, producer, and
film director. Turned $30K start-up investment into a $6M company (with 32 employees) in 1996
before transitioning HSM to new leadership during acquisition by True North Communications
(an FCB holding company) while focusing on the establishment of Shaw Science Partners.
Oversaw P&L and business operations in addition to producing and directing most programs.
