 An effective waste collection system is key for a clean city
 Currently, BBMP handles waste collection for residential
establishments only
 BBMP mandates non residential establishments to manage their own
waste
 Establishments not managing their own waste dump in litter spots,
which is on the onus of the BBMP to handle. This disrupts the current
collection mechanism.
 In order to make the plan complete and effective, the non-residential
establishments must be considered in the new plan.
 Data pertaining to these entities are not SPATIAL data. Hence the
need for the data
BBMP SFD
 Total No. of entities are -
951
 There is no category
wise data
 It is just a list of roads
with total number of
entities
 Total No. of entities are –
1468
 Data is been gathered as
› Primary Category – 19
› Secondary Category - 72
 Data is being mapped
on the plot map of the
ward with exact location
in the ward
 All entities were surveyed on ground using ward maps.
 The captured data will be updated on GIS maps. This can
be used for data analysis and planning for Waste
Management purposes.
