Snyder firefighters trained regularly throughout 2015 through classroom and hands-on sessions, and also cross-trained with neighboring fire companies. They responded to over 1000 emergency calls including structure fires, vehicle accidents, medical calls, and utility emergencies. Snyder firefighters also conducted pre-planning visits to commercial and public buildings to establish emergency plans. They hosted community events like an open house and fire prevention activities to educate residents. Looking ahead to 2016, Snyder firefighters will continue serving the community as they celebrate their 100th anniversary and seek new recruits to carry on their mission as a professional volunteer fire department.
