In a modern society, depending on the degree of cultural development of awareness,
os cultural and educational heritage, of material and economic strength of the
underlying philosophical, sociological and internal political orientation, resulting the
social character of the teaching. With the development of the already mentioned criteria
it is inevitably to have a change and development of the quality of the teaching. The
teaching should be intensified, humanized, actualized, modernized. The modern
method for teaching Macedonian language knows procedures applied in motivating
students.
Through the system of the problematic-creative teaching are expresed more modern
trends in teaching methodology. Here, on the first place are placed the creative
opportunities of the students. They are preparing themselves for independant resolution
of issues related to the selected text(story). The story should be experienced firstly,
through the interpretation and then should be analyzed. The analyze of the story should
provide contact to the student to all possible aspects of its content breakdown:
thematic,conceptual and aestetic and ethical. At the same time, the formal
aspects:composition and linguistic-stylistic should not be realeased. Thus, the level of
essential teaching analysis will be reached. At the beginning of the school year the
students’ interests are checked. For that purpose a survey is conducted, and from its
results ,based on the interest shown, the teacher offers the students stories for
independant reading at home.
Motivating students are achieved by interpretive reading a selected part (fragment).
For this procedure usually are selected the most excited parts, to encourage students to
think. Illustrations, listening to music, listening radio programme or watching TV shows
may serve as an incentive. Such stimulus can be caused by the literature competition.
The school has organized a quiz dedicated to a particular topic. Students apply for the
quiz based on the propositions of the game. The competition envisages the stories that
should be read and the manner of the conducting the quiz. Selected students can take
2. part in organizing the quiz. Announcing a contest for the best display of a particular
story, also can be used as an incentive for the reading.
Motivating the students to read a story can also be achieved by asking questions and
tasks to which students can respond. Questions and tasks can be targeted by checking
how the students feel about the story and how they understand it. The modern purposes
of teaching can be realized by a successful interpretation and analysis of the story. This
builds active and sensitive student who experienced literary messages and understands
their sense.
Checking the understanding of the text by using instructional papers ICT technology
for independant work of student allows measurement of the productivity of the lessons.
For example, if 80% of the students answered all or most of the questions,it means that
the lesson is well organized and rationally derived. If fewer students answered the most
questions,it means that the lesson wasn’t enough optimum.
-This way of checking can be used as a measured value od certain teaching forms and
means and to perform the required comparison of classes with different organization;
-Also, it allows continuous monitoring of students’ progress and brings better grades,
which increases the objectivity in assessing;
-The teacher can give full information to the parents about the activity of the student;
-The wide use and acceptance of the project “With reading and writing to critical
thinking”, presented by the American Association in cooperation with the University of
Northern Iowa techniques for reading and writing, graphic display in different parts of
the lesson. Practitioners are satisfied with the application and effect easily affordable
and interesting lead to cooperative teamwork, giving solid results that will be long
remembered.
The modern teaching requires creative approaches in all stages of
preparation,organization, implementation, evaluation and application to practical
application of knowledge, skills, habits of contemporary everyday life. There is an
obvious need for discovering new approaches for validating hypothesis, with guidance
for use interactively with others, self-request, response revealing research methods for
better quality teaching.
