This document discusses a study on intercropping maize and orange-fleshed sweet potato (OFSP) in Malawi. The study found that strip intercropping maize and OFSP led to higher yields and profits than sole cropping. Intercropping increased food production, farm incomes, and had potential to improve food security and nutrition in Malawi. The document recommends further research on intercropping OFSP with other crops like maize, soybeans, and onions using participatory on-farm methods.
