2. 1. Equity
Present Service:
There is a difference in supply of equity amount of water which is about
5-10% in wet season and 15-25% in dry season compared to head and tail
users.
Projected Service:
All the users will get equal amount of water without any hindrances at all
the seasons and the difference will be brought below 5%.
3. 2. Adequacy
Present Service:
There is only allocation of water for wet crops to the head reach users and
semi dry crops for tail end users in the Kharif season and there is no water
allocation for the other seasons.
Projected Service:
Complete command area will be provided with adequate amount of water
covering all seasons as per the crop water requirement of the user.
4. 3. Flexibility
Present Service:
Since water supply is pre defined , there is not much scope for flexibility to
the user at present system.
Projected Service:
System will be made at least 95% flexible with schedule decided as per
demand from all farmers at all seasons.
5. 4. Reliability
Present Service:
About 80% users rely on canal irrigation system and difference is met with
ground water.
Projected Service:
All users will be made 100% reliable on canal water supply at all seasons.
