Year Rep
What program and year are you in? I am currently
entering my fourth year of post secondary educa-
tion; however, I am just starting out in my first year
of the Honors Specialization in Nutrition and Fami-
lies Program here at Brescia. Prior, I dabbled in some
Science courses, as well as in English and Writing. As
I’m sure most students can agree, you truly never
know what you are going to enjoy, and excel in, until
you try things out, and I sure feel like I’ve tried it all!
It has been a long journey to where I am today, but I
finally feel like I have found my niche.
What is your favourite food? I have a huge sweet tooth, and often have to restrain
myself from indulging; however, there is one thing that I just can’t say no to: a
doughnut. I’m a sucker for fried pastries! I recently bought a doughnut pan at a
thrift store for just $1 so that I can bake my own doughnuts at home. Needless to
say, it has been a great investment (my friends and family think so too!).
What do you love most about CAFP? This is my first year as a part of the CAFP
team, but I am certainly excited (and admittedly a bit nervous) about getting the
ball rolling and making a difference on campus and in the community. I have never
been a part of a group like this before, but after getting to know most of the team
at our first meeting, I can tell that there are a lot of hardworking, organized and
genuine individuals on board. I guess you could say that’s what I love most about
the team so far – the dedication to making a difference!
Which meal do you like cooking most? Aside from desserts, I LOVE making soups. I
have developed a process that leaves me with a perfect pot of soup every time, no
matter what the ingredients! Sometimes I will even make two or three soups at a
time and freeze them in portions for an easy lunch or dinner throughout the
week. Some of my favourites to make are tomato basil, carrot ginger, roasted egg-
plant, and vegetarian chick’n noodle (yes, it’s possible). I usually make vegan
soups, but occasionally some cheese just so happens to find its way into the pot!

It has been a long journey to where I am today, but I finally feel like I have found my niche. What is your favourite food? I have a huge sweet tooth, and often have to restrain myself from indulging; however, there is one thing that I just can’t say no to: a doughnut. I’m a sucker for fried pastries! I recently bought a doughnut pan at a thrift store for just $1 so that I can bake my own doughnuts at home. Needless to say, it has been a great investment (my friends and family think so too!). What do you love most about CAFP? This is my first year as a part of the CAFP team, but I am certainly excited (and admittedly a bit nervous) about getting the ball rolling and making a difference on campus and in the community. I have never been a part of a group like this before, but after getting to know most of the team at our first meeting, I can tell that there are a lot of hardworking, organized and genuine individuals on board. I guess you could say that’s what I love most about the team so far – the dedication to making a difference! Which meal do you like cooking most? Aside from desserts, I LOVE making soups. I have developed a process that leaves me with a perfect pot of soup every time, no matter what the ingredients! Sometimes I will even make two or three soups at a time and freeze them in portions for an easy lunch or dinner throughout the week. Some of my favourites to make are tomato basil, carrot ginger, roasted egg- plant, and vegetarian chick’n noodle (yes, it’s possible). I usually make vegan soups, but occasionally some cheese just so happens to find its way into the pot!
