General Summary   My Client, a global leader in the science field, is seeking a  Lead Instrumentation & Electrical / Process Control Technology Engineer (I&E/PCT Eng)  to provide instrumentation and electrical (I&E) and process control technology (PCT) engineering and services for projects in chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. This role will take lead and be responsible for the initial preparation and execution of the I&E/PCT portions of the projects.  Client is an EEO employer .
Job Description   Adhere to client and customer practices and standards by following guidelines and procedures for preparing designs, estimates, scopes, and specifications. Actively participate in the growth of information and process control management strategies. Lead project teams. Responsible for developing hardware, software, functional and user specifications for process control systems and associated components. Effectively communicate project phases by interacting with customers, vendors/suppliers and engineering departments to guarantee that projects are progressing through the development phase and will be successfully executed within the projected timeframe. Aid in compiling and developing construction packages. Review and approve drawings, specifications, and other documentation for I&E/PCT. Evaluate all elements of I&E/PCT projects, measuring objectives in budget, constructability, maintainability, safety, schedule, and correct technical procedures. Engage in active field support, check out, commissioning and start up.
Educational and Other Requirements   BS in Electrical or Chemical Engineering with strong interest in process control systems with 3 – 10 years of I&E experience. 6+ years experience in chemical or pharmaceutical facility in I&E/PCT design and engineering or equivalent experience. Registered PE in Texas or other states; exception will be considered if incumbent will pursue a PE if currently does not have license. Knowledge of maintenance and engineering of field instrumentation/electrical devices, analog and digital controls, distributed and computer controlled systems and programmable logic controllers (PLC). Hardware knowledge in I&E Knowledge of the National Electric Code, power distribution up to 480V and 480 V/2300V/4160V motor control. Knowledge of DCS (Provox, Delta V) and PLC configuration. Experience in PC and MS Office software. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications : Experience working in industrial chemical complex.
