This document discusses finding reward and purpose in daily work and process rather than comfort or distraction. It summarizes three "enemies" that prevent finding the true reward: the pillow of comfort, the shiny things that distract, and the towel of giving up. It emphasizes doing all things for God's glory and finding the prize in daily living for Him rather than in accomplishments. The reward is in the work itself when done to glorify God.
Victory and Desperation - Spring 2016 ACEaustinexec
The Holy Spirit indwells us to connect us to God, baptizes us into the church body, and fills us to draw closer to Him while equipping us to love and serve others. Are you ready to live a life desperate for God, trusting Him completely?
For a position I was applying, I was asked to "Prove It" that I knew how to use Microsoft Power Point. I was given a two page dialog of the sermon and do be as creative as possible. This is the outcome.

None of us are worthy to be called children of God. For salvation is not because of our deeds, but through Christ work on the cross. But because we have received such grace we should walk in a manner worthy of what we are now proclaimed to be. Download PowerPoint at Bibleguy.org
It is particularly distressing when some Christians are alienated or repressed for their views and beliefs of affiliation in Christ. But note behind every persecution there is a message and something God wants us to learn from.
Focus not on the campaign to subjugate or eliminate you but look for the possibilities in the word concerning you. With Christ it is never hopeless, remember you are what God says you are and you have what God says you have because you are a peculiar person, sanctified, separated and put apart for his use. Know this, “Rejoice if you are persecuted, because you are fit for an acceptable purpose to proclaim liberty to them that are imprisoned by fleshy lust, to bind up the broken hearted, and to comfort all that mourn.
Are we trying to impress the world? Are we trying to impress others? Who are we trying to impress? Ultimately we can impress no one, not even God. But rewards are with God, not because we can impress him, but because he honors those that love him.
Our life journey, especially our life assignment is the race that we run. If we need to run well, we need endurance. Here are some helpful insights on how to run with endurance the race that is set before us.

We will learn what Anime is and see what a Christian should consider before watching anime movies? We will also learn a little bit of Shintoism religion and hentai (the craze of internet pornography today).
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…
SELFLESS 04 - GRATEFUL IN THE GRIND - SIS. AYISH ROQUES - 6:30PM EVENING SERVICE
1.
2.
3. We believe in a barn-
blessing, big hearted, open
handed good and grace
filled God.
4. 31 So whether you eat or drink or
whatever you do, do it all for the glory of
God.
5. WHAT IF?
WHAT IF THE WORK IS THE
REWARD?
WHAT IF THE PRIZE IS IN THE
PROCESS?
WHAT IF YOU CAN BE
GRATEFUL IN THE GRIND?
6. 9 For I am the least of all the apostles—I
do not even deserve to be called an
apostle, because I persecuted God's
church. 10 But by God's grace I am what I
am, and the grace that he gave me was
not without effect. On the contrary, I have
worked harder than any of the other
apostles, although it was not really my
own doing, but God's grace working with
me.
7. PAUL TALKING OVER FIRE
• While they were sleeping—Strategizing
daily.
• When most idolized comfort—Beaten,
Shipwrecked, Snake bitten.
• While others took a shortcut—Day in—Did
the hard work.
• Memorized God’s word—Wrote a bunch of
it.
• Worked while in prison—Started churches in
cities that didn’t have Christians.
10. 33 A little sleep, a little slumber, a little
folding of the hands to rest—34 and
poverty will come on you like a thief and
scarcity like an armed man.
11. God never called us to an easy
life, He called us to deny
ourselves and take up our cross.
14. 24 “No one can serve two masters. Either
you will hate the one and love the other,
or you will be devoted to the one and
despise the other. You cannot serve both
God and money.
15. There are things that matter and
there are those that don’t. The
key is to choose wisely by
identifying which lasts in eternity.
16. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is
seen, but on what is unseen, since what
is seen is temporary, but what is unseen
is eternal.”
17. 1Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a
great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off
everything that hinders and the sin that so
easily entangles. And let us run with
perseverance the race marked out for us, 2
fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and
perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he
endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat
down at the right hand of the throne of God.
18. Sin distracts us from our walk with
the Lord. That’s why we are to fix
our eyes on Jesus- not on any
person or possession but to HIM
alone.
19. 1 Since, then, you have been raised with
Christ, set your hearts on things above,
where Christ is, seated at the right hand of
God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not
on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your
life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4
When Christ, who is your life, appears, then
you also will appear with him in glory.
20. Fixing eyes on Jesus means setting
our hearts and minds for Him.
21. You don’t live the same life you
lived before you met Him. You are
no longer of yourself. You are His.
Therefore, all your decisions are
dependent and centered in Him and
His will.
23. 24 Do you not know that in a race all the
runners run, but only one gets the prize?
Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25
Everyone who competes in the games
goes into strict training. They do it to get
a crown that will not last, but we do it to
get a crown that will last forever.
24. SELFISH PASSION is all about
us but God is calling us to
SELFLESS PURPOSE.
25. Once you recognize you are
serving God’s purpose, you
become more passionate.
26. 24 However, I consider my life worth
nothing to me; my only aim is to finish
the race and complete the task the Lord
Jesus has given me—the task of
testifying to the good news of God’s
grace.
29. 26 Therefore I do not run like someone
running aimlessly; I do not fight like a
boxer beating the air. 27 No, I strike a
blow to my body and make it my slave so
that after I have preached to others, I
myself will not be disqualified for the
prize.
30. 31 So whether you eat or drink or
whatever you do, do it all for the
glory of God.
31. Prize isn’t when you get the
promotion. Prize is now!
Whatever you do!
Prize isn’t something you
accomplish occasionally. It’s
what you do daily for the glory
of God
32. The prize isn’t something that is “out there.”
The prize isn’t in what you accomplish
occasionally.
The prize is in what you do daily (for the
glory of God).
33. Work is the reward.
The prize is in the process.
Grateful in the grind.
