SDEMC is a San Diego Unified high school located on the campus of San Diego City College. It is an early college program where students take high school and college courses simultaneously, earning both high school and college credit. Students take high school classes in 9th and 10th grade, and then high school and two college courses in 11th and 12th grade. This allows students to earn up to one year of college credit at no additional cost. SDEMC students have high academic achievement, with an API score of 804, among the top in the district.
