What do you think are the themes and issues of
this script?
*From my research my script does clearly express the themes and
issues I am trying to portray as my target audience were able to
identify them easily, however only one was replied with parental
neglect which is one of the biggest issue I am trying to promote in
my film.

*Question Two Responses:
Who do you think in this story is the main
character?
*I had mix responses about who the main character is, half
suggested that the Mother was the protagonist and then the other
half picked Lane – Only one response suggested that both of them
are the main character. This makes it interesting as their choices
may be down to who they can relate to more as a whole.

Can you identify the want, need and obligation
of the character?
*All my responses are varied depending on who they thought was
the main character, however they have clearly identified the
want, need and obligation for both character giving me a clear
indication that my film expresses these clearly.

In the end do you think the mother gets what
she wants or what she needs?
*Again I received mixed responses but the majority suggest that the
mother gets what she needs – because Lane has removed the problem for
a while and has received a ‘wake up call’. However one of the responses
suggested that she got both what she wanted and what she needed,
which is interesting way of interpretation of it.

For an alternative ending do think the Mother
should join Lane at the table and have a
cigarette with her? Or for only lane to have the
cigarette? Why?

*The majority of responses said that only Lane should have it because it
shows her ‘dominance, power and independence’. Also because the mother
did not stand up for herself or for her daughter which she should of done.
Although one of my responses suggests that the mother should join her but
to only extinguish the cigarette – This would be a interesting ending as it
would show that the mother now has strength now that the man is out of the
way, however it would ruin this perception of how weak the woman is.
