This document is a script for a game show called "Uni-Versus" that pits university students against lecturers in challenges related to university life. The hosts Riku and Graham introduce the contestants and explain the first challenge will be a "Chubby Bunny" contest where teams see how many marshmallows they can fit in their mouth while saying "Chubby Bunny." Later, the teams compete in a shopping challenge where they have to buy items on a list with a £10 budget. In the final challenge, teams answer general knowledge questions within a time limit for the chance to win. The lecturers/students team wins the game show.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

RIKU:
Hello and welcome to Uni-versus, where the wise and old face off against the young and bold. Today
we will be hosting a battle of the ages to see who is the best at university life. I’m Riku.
GRAHAM:
And I’m Graham and we will be your hosts for today. So let’s meet the contestants.
RIKU:
First up - the scholars
GRAHAM:
And the challengers.
Now that you’ve met our teams, tweet us with your favorite on; #UNI-VERSUS!
RIKU:
Let’s see who will come out on top in this battle of will and skill. So last week we asked you what
challenges you’d like our contestant to face and we picked the three most popular ones. The first
challenge today will test our contestant’s will. Usually the eating habits of university students aren’t
always the healthiest. But in our first challenge that may turn out to be an advantage, this is ... *short
pause* Chubby Bunny.
GRAHAM:
In this challenge, each team chooses a champion to step up and stuff as many marshmallows into their
mouth as possible. But here’s the kicker - you need to be able to say the words Chubby Bunny.
RIKU:
The person with most marshmallows in their mouth to pronounce an audible “Chubby Bunny” wins. And
you can’t swallow them!
*PRESENTERS PICK THEIR TEAMS IN LOOSE DIALOGUE*
GRAHAM:
Oh my, that was something else ...
*BOTH LOOK AT EACH OTHER AND CHUCKLE*
*1’ST CHALLENGE IS FINISHED, PRESENTERS MOVE ON*
RIKU:
And now, for the next one … we know you’re wise but were you penny wise? Earlier today we sent our
teams on a shopping challenge, we gave them a tenner, a shopping list and a set time to find out who
can manage money better. So let’s see how they got on.
*VT PLAYS ON SCREEN IN STUDIO OR FULLSCREEN*
2. *PRESENTERS AND CONTESTANTS COMMENT ON THEIR
PERFORMANCE IN A HUMOUROUS MANNER*
GRAHAM:
Wow that was a tough call. Let’s see how you did on that assignment ...
*RESULTS ARE GIVEN IN A SEALED ENVELOPE*
*ROOM FOR A LITTLE BANTER BETWEEN PRESENTERS COMMENTING
ON THEIR TEAM'S PERFORMANCE*
GRAHAM:
Now things are getting more exciting. Both our teams have the chance to win. Who will be
the champion of the Uni-verse, you see what I did there?
*RIKU SHAKES HIS HEAD IN DISAPPROVAL*
RIKU:
So, finally, it’s time for our last explosive round that is so fast it should’ve got a speeding
ticket! A breathtaking round of questions. I hope you’re are ready, because your extra
reading material will not help you!
GRAHAM:
And I thought my jokes were bad … in the final round it’s all about general knowledge! So
who will be crowned king of the campus, will it be the student plebs or the respectful
lecturers? The answer to this question after the contestants take the final exam!
RIKU:
We’re going to put 60 seconds on the clock and each team will get a chance to answer as
many questions as possible to secure victory, but be careful should you get a question
3. wrong, the other team will score a double point if they answer correct!
GRAHAM:
Are you guys ready? Alright start the clock!
*GRAHAM READS QUESTIONS*
RIKU:
That sure was intense! And we have our winner, the lecturers/students score first and
graduate from Uni-Versus with flying colours!
*PRIZE IS AWARDED TO THE WINNER*
GRAHAM:
And that’s all from us here at Uni-Versus.
RIKU:
Join us next week for another action packed face off, and don’t forget to vote on our
website with challenges you’d like to see on our show. Goodbye
