Motorola (2013-2015)
• Initiated & managed architecture group with key developers from isolated projects.
• Major refactoring creating base libraries & sharable components (e.g., SQL executor,
configuration manager, logger, date-time / HTML / JSON utilities, testing frameworks, etc.).
• Conceived, designed, implemented, promoted, & educated a comprehensive development
environment utilizing open source tools bringing industry standards to Motorola.
• Mentor to many teams and individuals regarding development skills and processes.
Google (2007-2015)
• Conceived, designed, lead, & implemented an alert system to notify support specialist of
issues with their customers. Architected to have all servers engaged in data collection &
prepare UI notifications (not master/slave).
• Converted daily 17-hour ETL job that handled 10% of customer accounts into a real-time
PubSub server that 100% of customer accounts which also resolved over 100 business logic
and process issues. Challenged thinking of entire team to match this real-time behavior.
• Team member rebuilt large customers API implementation for programmatic updates of ads.
• Last 2 years was an ambassador on loan to Motorola to help Googlize its processes.
