Victoria Romano is a motivated biology student graduating from York College of Pennsylvania in May 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Sociology. She has laboratory experience in techniques such as gel electrophoresis, Western blot, PCR, and cell culture. As a laboratory assistant, she aids instructors in preparing labs and ensuring student and OSHA safety standards are followed. Her senior thesis examines using CRISPR/Cas9 to knock out a cancer-causing gene. She has leadership roles in honor societies and committees and clinical experience shadowing physicians at a hospital.
