Fish range in size from less than an inch to over 60 feet and mostly breathe through gills. While 95% of fish have a bony skeleton and swim bladder, sharks and rays have a cartilage skeleton and must swim constantly to stay afloat. Fish propel themselves through the water using tail fins and steer with other fins, and they fill various ecological roles as herbivores or predators of other fish.

Eduardo Martinez, a sailor, witnessed a strange event while his fishing boat passed by Puntas Ninfas Lighthouse. When the lighthouse suddenly turned off, Eduardo went to investigate. Inside, a ghostly figure was swinging in a chair - it was the spirit of Eduardo's wife Margarita, who had died years ago when Eduardo's ship sank. Margarita explained that she had been waiting in the lighthouse for Eduardo to return so they could be reunited. When Eduardo took her hand, Margarita died peacefully. 'The girl in the mirror'
A father brought mirrors back from his business trips for his beautiful daughter, as they were her favorite gift. However, the jealous mother poisoned the daughter out of envy of the father's affection. When the father returned and broke the mirrors in grief, he saw his daughter's reflection, and it is said that passersby can still see the girl reflected in one of the house's windows, where her spirit remains.
'Museo del castillo'
A woman was locked in a small room of her home by her husband after catching him with another woman. She grew angry and despondent watching her husband from the window with his new partner. One day, unable to bear it further, she tragically threw herself from the window. It is said that to this day, when the lights go out in that small room, the ghost of the unhappy woman can still be seen combing her hair by the window.

Our planet is being harmed by pollution, deforestation, global warming, and the greenhouse effect. Pollution damages air, water, and soil through harmful chemicals and waste. Deforestation involves removing forests and trees without replanting. Global warming is an increase in world temperatures caused by rising carbon dioxide levels. The greenhouse effect occurs when heat from the sun is trapped by pollution in the air around Earth. Small actions like recycling, reusing, and reducing waste can help avoid further harm to the environment.

Gymnastics is a sport requiring physical strength, flexibility, power, agility, coordination and balance. The Federation of International Gymnastics was founded in 1881 and men's gymnastics became an Olympic sport in 1896. There are different disciplines of gymnastics including artistic gymnastics, trampolining, tumbling, rhythmic gymnastics and acrobatic gymnastics. Artistic gymnastics events for women are uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise and vault while men's events are floor exercise, pommel horse, still rings, vault, parallel bars and high bar.

Basketball is played between two teams of five players each over four 10-minute periods. The objective is to score the most points by throwing the ball into the opposing team's net. Teams consist of five players who must touch the ball with their hands. The game is controlled by two referees.

Badminton is a racquet sport played by two opposing sides on a rectangular court divided by a net. To score a point, players hit the shuttlecock very hard over the net using jumps and dives to return it before it hits the ground. Each side can only hit the shuttlecock once before returning it over the net. Matches are best of three sets, with players needing 21 points or more to win and at least a two point lead. The game originated in India in the 18th century and is now played both indoors competitively and casually outdoors.

Judo is a martial art created in Japan by Jigoro Kano in the late 19th century by combining jujitsu with modern movements. It became an Olympic sport and is characterized by throwing and grappling techniques. Matches last 5 minutes, with points awarded for different throws and holds, and an immediate win for achieving an "ippon" which results from a successful throw or prolonged hold. The objective is to defeat opponents through superior technique, strength and stamina rather than injury.

Hockey is an ancient sport that originated in Persia over 4,000 years ago and has been played at the Olympics since 1908. It is played between two teams of 11 players each on a pitch, with the aim of scoring more goals than the opposing team by hitting or pushing a plastic ball into the goal with a hooked stick. Only the goalkeeper can use their hands and feet to handle the ball, while other players must use the flat side of their stick. Penalties are awarded for fouls and rules violations.

Boxing is a sport where two athletes fight each other in a roped-off square ring. Boxers wear gloves and protective headgear to punch each other's heads and bodies over multiple three-minute rounds with breaks in between. Judges and a referee score points for valid punches and determine the winner by points or knockout. There are regulations around legal punches and fighters cannot kick, headbutt, or use objects other than gloves. Some of the most famous boxers of all time include Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, and Evander Holyfield.

Temperate climates experience mild temperatures between the Arctic and tropics. They include grasslands, forests, and agricultural regions suitable for growing grains, fruits, and vegetables. Temperate climates vary depending on their proximity to oceans or high altitudes, with maritime climates having more stable temperatures and continental climates experiencing greater differences between summer and winter.

Tropical rainforests experience hot and wet temperatures year-round, receiving over 4,000 mm of rainfall annually. The forests are home to an estimated 40-75% of the world's species, many of which have yet to be discovered. However, rainforests are being destroyed as land is cleared for commercial use, negatively impacting habitats and species. Deforestation reduces the rainforests' ability to absorb carbon dioxide and produce oxygen, potentially exacerbating global warming. Conservation efforts are needed to protect these vital ecosystems.

This document describes the climate and conditions of the world's hottest deserts. It notes that temperatures during the day can exceed 52°C, while nights are freezing, with short, violent storms. Water is found underground in porous rocks, where some plants and animals go to drink. Only 25% of deserts are sandy, while others have bare rock, mountains, and dunes prone to sandstorms. Plants and animals in deserts are adapted to the harsh climate by storing water, accessing underground sources, and reducing water loss.

Tropical grasslands occur between 5-15 degrees north and south of the equator. They have two distinct seasons: a rainy season when warm moist air rises and causes heavy rainfall, and a dry season when rainfall stops. Grasses that can survive the dry season with long roots are the dominant vegetation, though some trees like acacia also grow. Many herbivorous and hunting animals live in large groups in the grasslands, needing speed to survive as hunters and prey. However, the tsetse fly carries a parasite that infects humans and animals, keeping much of the grasslands untouched.
