American Association of University Women (AAUW) : Since being founded in 1881,
AAUW members have examined and taken positions on the fundamental issues of the
day – educational, social, economic, and political. This is an opportunity for a career
development grants to provided assistance to women who are seeking to advance
professionally or making career changes. Primary consideration given to women of
color, women pursuing credentials in nontraditional fields, and women who do not
currently hold an advanced degree.
Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) Alice T. Schafer Mathematics Prize :
The Executive Committee of the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM)
accepts nominations for the Alice T. Schafer Mathematics Prize to be awarded to an
undergraduate woman for excellence in mathematics. All members of the mathematical
community are invited to submit nominations for the Prize. She must either be a U.S.
citizen or have a school address in the United States.
Association for Women in Science (AWIS) :The AWIS Educational Awards
Committee is pleased to offer awards to support women planning a career in Science,
Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Established by AWIS in 1974 as
the Educational Foundation, funds are provided by contributions from AWIS members
and other donors. Awards are offered for undergraduate and pre-doctoral students.
Business Research Guide for Women Entrepreneurs: Business Plan Contest : This
scholarship is designed to support promising women entrepreneurs as they pursue a
higher education degree. Awardee will be selected based on strength of their written
business plan as determined by the scholarship committee at Business Research
Guide.

Google Anita Borg Scholarships for Women In Computer Science : Open to full-time
women students entering their senior year of undergraduate study or those enrolled in a
graduate program. Applicants should be Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or
closely related technical field as a full-time student and must maintain a cumulative
GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or 4.5 on a 5.0 scale or equivalent in their current
program.
Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship: USA for First Years : A group of female
scholars will be awarded based on the strength of their academic background, passion
for computer science, community service and leadership.
Recipients of the Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship for First Years will
each receive a $10,000 award for the 2011-2012 academic year. Scholars will
also be invited to apply for the Google FUSE networking retreat in Summer
2012.Note: Scholarship Payment is contingent on the student attending a
university with a Computer Science department, and taking at least one
computer science course during their first year.
Inez Robb Memorial Scholarship: The Boise Area Branch of the American Association
of University Women (AAUW) offers a scholarship to a selected undergraduate student
at Boise State University. This is an Idaho Community Foundation (ICF) scholarship.

Jeanette Rankin Women’s Scholarship Fund : The Jeannette Rankin Foundation
honors the name and legacy of an American woman who was a proponent of women’s
rights and was the first woman to be elected to the United States Congress in 1916.

This scholarship is open to women who are U.S. citizens, age 35 or older, enrolled in,
or accepted to, a regionally or ACICS accredited school, pursuing a technical or
vocational education, an associate’s degree, or a first bachelor’s degree, and who is low
income.
Microsoft Scholarships : Microsoft encourages student populations currently
underrepresented in the field of computer science to pursue technical degrees. A large
majority of our student scholarships are awarded to women, minorities, and the
disabled. Minority applicants must belong to one of the following groups
underrepresented in the software field: African-American, Hispanic, or Native American.
The Microsoft Research Graduate Women’s Scholarship is a one-year
scholarship program for outstanding women graduate students and is designed
to help increase the number of women pursuing a PhD. This program supports
women in the second year of their graduate studies. Women who are
interested in this scholarship must apply during first year of graduate studies.
Scholarships are granted by Microsoft Research at the discretion of Microsoft.
National Women’s Studies Association : The National Women’s Studies Association
(NWSA) offers three annual scholarships and awards through its communities and
offers conference registration scholarships. You must be a member to apply. If you are
not a member, but your institution is, ask them to add you as one of their Institutional
student members. Three student memberships are included with Institutional
membership and there is no charge.

NWSA Conference Registration Scholarship/Travel Grant: NWSA is able to
offer 100 Conference Registration grants to presenters. Students, scholars and
activists with a demonstrated need for financial assistance are encouraged to
apply.
Applications for 2011 Education Support Awards will be accepted beginning on, but not
before, May 1, 2011. Applications must be postmarked no later than July 15, 2011.
Awardees will be notified by phone or email in October.
PayScale’s Women in STEM Scholarship : Are you a woman pursuing a degree in the
STEM areas? PayScale knows that one of the most effective ways to close the gender
wage gap is to encourage an support more women pursuing STEM careers. The
scholarship amount is $2,000. Deadline is February 29, 2016.
P.E.O. Scholarships/Philanthropies : P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization)
is a philanthropic organization where women celebrate the advancement of women;
educate women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans, and motivate women to
achieve their highest aspirations.
Educational Loan Fund (ELF), established in 1907, makes loans available to
qualified women who desire higher education and are in need of financial
assistance. An applicant must be recommended by a local chapter of the
P.E.O. Sisterhood and be within two years of completing her course of study.
The current maximum loan is $10,000 at 3% interest and due six years from
the date of issue. Following the graduation date originally stated on the
application, interest will begin accruing and will be billed on an annual basis.
Interest accruals and payments will not be deferred if the student continues
with further study.
P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship (IPS) Fund was established in 1949 to
provide scholarships for international women students to pursue graduate study

P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education (PCE) was established in 1973 to
provide need based grants to women in the United States and Canada whose
education has been interrupted and who find it necessary to return to school to
support themselves and/or their families.
P.E.O. Scholar Awards (PSA) was established in 1991 to provide substantial
merit-based awards for women of the United States and Canada who are either
pursuing a doctoral level degree or are engaged in postdoctoral research at an
accredited college, university or institution.
The STAR Scholarship provides a $2,500 award to high school senior women
who wish to pursue post-secondary education.
Society of Women Engineers : Provides financial assistance to women admitted to
accredited baccalaureate or graduate programs, in preparation for careers in
engineering, engineering technology and computer science. Grants are announced in
the summer (sophomore, junior, senior and graduate students) and late summer/early
fall (freshmen and reentry students) for use during the following academic year.
Soroptimist International Women’s Opportunity Awards : Eligible applicants must be
women who provide the primary financial support for their families, and who are enrolled
in or have been accepted to a vocational/skills training program or an undergraduate
degree program. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, and cannot have already
earned an undergraduate degree.
Talbots Women’s Scholarship Fund : The Talbots Charitable Foundation is proud to
present the Talbots Women’s Scholarship Fund and the Nancy Talbot Scholarship
Award for perseverance and ingenuity, which is presented in memory of the founder of
Talbots. Up to ten (10) scholarships of $15,000 and one (1) $30,000 scholarship will be
awarded. Only applicants seeking a bachelor’s degree are eligible to receive the Nancy
Talbot Scholarship Award. Awards are one-time only, are not renewable, and are paid in
U.S. currency. Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Ignite AG Customer Advisory Board Scholarship : The ignite Advisory Group is offering
a $1,000 scholarship to a current undergraduate or graduate (e.g. MBA) student
seeking to enter a marketing field focused around customer engagement or research.
The purpose of this scholarship is to inspire future marketing leaders to consider the
querying of and direction from customers in regards to marketing planning and
campaigning, and the role that customer advisory boards can play in gathering key
input, engendering customer loyalty and increasing revenue.
