• The Vienna Biocenter is a collaborative effort among
Europe's top five research centers. It offers an exciting
opportunity for outstanding undergraduate students to
gain practical experience in these prestigious research
institutions. The research projects at the Biocenter cover a
wide range of cutting-edge topics in molecular biology,
neuroscience, immunology, bioinformatics, RNA, stem cells,
and biochemistry.
• Students participating in this fully-funded summer school
engage in hands-on laboratory work, lab meetings, and
journal clubs. They learn from scientists who use a bottom-
up approach to uncover experimental results, providing a
valuable learning experience.

4. Eligibility Criteria
• Proficiency in English is a requirement.
• Candidates should either have three months of
research experience or have received training as part
of their study program.
• Eligible candidates include those with a BA Hons,
master’s students, MSc, undergraduates, or master’s
students who have completed at least two years of
university.
• Students must be studying life sciences.
• Applicants can be of any gender and nationality.
• Applicants should have a strong academic record.

5. Benefits
• A free travel pass will be given to each participant for the
scholarship period.
• Participants will receive full accommodation.
• Students will also enjoy various activities, including an
opening dinner, visits to places in Vienna, trips to Heurigen,
and a final summer school celebration. Regular Friday
Evening Social Hours are also part of the experience.
• Each student will receive a stipend of 1400 Euros for the
nine-week program.
• All travel costs to and from Vienna will be reimbursed.
• They will be provided with a well-furnished modern room
that includes a shared bathroom and kitchen.
• Full medical insurance coverage will be provided.
