Saudi Arabia has a population of 26.6 million people who primarily speak Arabic and practice Islam. The capital and largest city is Riyadh. Much of the country is covered by deserts, but there are mountain ranges in the southwest. Notable attractions include the Black Stone and Well of Zamzam in Mecca, and the Kingdom Centre Tower in Riyadh. Soccer and camel racing are popular sports. The country is led by King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Saud and is an absolute monarchy. During Ramadan, Muslims fast during the day and feast at sunset.
