Speech at Kennesaw State University (Georgia, USA), celebrating the Year of Spain for the Visiting Teachers' program, Ministry of Education of Spain (MECD) in 2004. I had the pleasure to deepen in a topic I love.
PLEASE SHARE! A journey of an Aunt with Alzheimer's disease, family dynamics, legal, financial, emotional and care giving challenges. A legal guardianship was required because the family could not agree on the care of my Aunt and the management of her finances.
My Aunt passed away one year ago January 10, 2017. I managed her care and questioned the exorbitant legal fees over the years. For Sixteen years I faced numerous challenges with the quality of her care and trying to keep her expenses down. In the meantime, the lawyers were charging THOUSANDS of DOLLARS YEARLY for the annual accounting and basic court filings that were the same year after year. In the end, it cost my Aunt's Estate over $500,000.00 for legal fees. A year ago, the journey continued with more frustration and dishonesty from the bank and lawyers...finally, six months after Aunt Sara's death, I hired Hilda Porro https://www.hildaporrolaw.com/ PA and Ron Denman http://www.bleakleybavol.com/denman.html in order to close the guardianship and move through the probate. After all of these years, I'm finally in the care of LAWYERS with INTEGRITY. I would highly recommend both Hilda, Ron and Lori McKee, P.A. my accountant who has been amazing support since the moment I brought my Aunt to live near me sixteen years ago.

Study: The Future of VR, AR and Self-Driving CarsLinkedIn
We asked LinkedIn members worldwide about their levels of interest in the latest wave of technology: whether they’re using wearables, and whether they intend to buy self-driving cars and VR headsets as they become available. We asked them too about their attitudes to technology and to the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the devices that they use. The answers were fascinating – and in many cases, surprising.
This SlideShare explores the full results of this study, including detailed market-by-market breakdowns of intention levels for each technology – and how attitudes change with age, location and seniority level. If you’re marketing a tech brand – or planning to use VR and wearables to reach a professional audience – then these are insights you won’t want to miss.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is everywhere, promising self-driving cars, medical breakthroughs, and new ways of working. But how do you separate hype from reality? How can your company apply AI to solve real business problems?
Here’s what AI learnings your business should keep in mind for 2017.

Book Formatting: Quality Control Checks for DesignersConfidence Ago
This presentation was made to help designers who work in publishing houses or format books for printing ensure quality.
Quality control is vital to every industry. This is why every department in a company need create a method they use in ensuring quality. This, perhaps, will not only improve the quality of products and bring errors to the barest minimum, but take it to a near perfect finish.
It is beyond a moot point that a good book will somewhat be judged by its cover, but the content of the book remains king. No matter how beautiful the cover, if the quality of writing or presentation is off, that will be a reason for readers not to come back to the book or recommend it.
So, this presentation points designers to some important things that may be missed by an editor that they could eventually discover and call the attention of the editor.
