4. Installing the EPM Add-in for Microsoft Office
Checking the installation
1. On the Windows Search bar, type “epm”. If the installation is successful, available
EPM apps will be displayed (EPM add-in for Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

2. The Excel application should have two additional menu items:
(a) EPM and
(b) Data Manager
7. Connection for SAP NetWeaver
Create New Connection
1. Open Microsoft Office Excel.
2. Select the EPM tab
3. Click Log On
4. The EPM - Logon dialog box opens. Click the browse button (…) next to the Connection area.

5. The EPM - Connection Manager opens. Click Create.
6. The Create Connection dialog box opens. In the Connection Type area, select Planning and
Consolidation, version for SAP NetWeaver.
7. In the Server URL area, enter the server URL and click on Connect.

8. In the login dialog box that opens, enter your User Name and Password and click Logon.
9. Select an Environment and a Model then click Generate Connection Name or manually enter a
connection name.
