1. Sant-Mat is a science of perfect liberation of the soul through spiritual meditation practices without rituals. It focuses on love, unity, and responsible social living.
2. A true Sant or Satguru is one with the Supreme Divine and is empowered to initiate and liberate souls through practices like Surat-Shabd yoga meditation.
3. Key principles include that God resides within the human body in the form of inner light and sound, and contact with this is achieved through initiation and guidance from a living Sant-Satguru.

Hinduism and Jainism
Janism – The universe is without beginning. Our lives are the cause of our own choices.
Hinduism – Believe in a cyclical notion of time. The universe is created over and over again. Many different beginning to the universe.
Janism – Becoming a god or a demon (liberation) is the end result of clearing away karmic accumulations from the soul.
Hinduism – There are currently 330 million gods called shaktas that are worshiped. Many of them ah different forms so they can be counted different times. There are 2 levels of the gods. The local goddesses tend to the everyday life of the people and the great goddess that have huge temples that are barred from the average local.
Janism – Being born as a human is the 2nd highest achievement besides liberation. During life one must do their best to clear away any impurities from this life and the life before. Human life is not more important than any other form of life.
Hinduism – Each person has a soul when we die if we did not reach Moksha then we are born again. The Karma we gained in our past life is carried over to the new life.
Janism – The better you live your life the better chance you will reach liberation upon death.
Hinduism - Good and evil are relative terms, you cannot have one without the other.
Janism – The highest form of salvation is liberation. Before that would be being born as a human. This will allow the person to perform good deeds to hopefully reach liberation
Hinduism - salvation is called Moksha. This is when an enlightened human being is freed from the cycle of life and death. There are 4 ways this is done. 1. Way of action. The individual must perform certain religious ceremonies without any type of personal gain
2. Way of Knowledge. The individual must have a complete understanding of the universe.
3. Way of devotion. Reached through acts of worship, based upon the love for a god.
4. The royal road. meditation and yoga techniques
Janism – The soul wonders endless transporting to another form upon death.

This chapter is an exhaustive handbook of instructions explaining the working of the subtle body & providing some tips to readjust ourselves when the inner mechanism gets chocked up. The One Truth expresses through a world-of-Matter, producing an innumerable variety of life forms. The reason for this multiplicity are the Gunas, Sattva (Unactivity), Rajas (Activity) & Tamas (Inactivity), all born of Prakriti. These three, in different proportions, influence the mental & intellectual caliber of every individual.
Chapter 10, named Vibhuti Yoga describes the Power or Lordship & the Pervasiveness Or Immanence of the SELF. The essence in the world of plurality is the SELF. Here Lord Krishna identifies Himself as the most prominent & Chief Factor in all classes of beings, & as the Supreme Factor without which the different classes of beings, objects & ideas cannot exist. To give a glimpse of His pervasiveness & glory, Krishna gives 54 different examples from among

Based on Teaching of Chandogya Upanishad from Samaveda.
The focus of this book is the great saying of Chandogya Upanishad from Samaveda - "Tatwamasi"- That Thou Art. As mark of
respect to innumerable sages (Rishis) and Spiritual Masters (Sadgurus) who have strived to uplift humanity by teaching the message of essential divinity in all of us, we are releasing this book on the occasion of Guru Poornima. The book presents the teachings based on the traditional non-dual teachings of Advaita by Shri Adi Shankaracharya Bhagavatpada. We hope that this book will be of help to the seekers in understanding the message of Vedas.
This Chapter discusses the types of manifestations that are available in the living world when the same 'Knower', the Eternal Spirit, expresses Itself through various 'Fields'. It describes the mental contents of the good as compared with those of the bad. The Chapter opens with an exhaustive list of 26 noble Traits in a cultured man living the spiritual way-of-life. This is followed by another extensive listing of the bad qualities, which should be avoided. The bad characters or Demons continue to live their vile lives, birth after birth,& are never able to come up spiritually. Finally the Lord advises seekers to avoid the three 'gates of hell', lust, anger & hatred to lead a good life & attain liberation. In conclusion, Krishna states that the Scriptures form the authority to be followed by all for righteous action.
For the benefit of spiritual seekers, the book “Yoga Vashista” describes seven stages of spiritual unfoldment in a beautiful manner. Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Sant mat ppt
1.
2.
3. Sant-Mat is Science of perfect Liberation of the soul+. It’s Pure Spirituality, sans
rites and rituals, a ‘way of life’, path of Love-Unity-Peace & ‘Positive Mysticism’, i.e.
responsible social living++, but w/o Aasakti- engrossment in the outer world *
A true ‘Sant’ is One with Supreme Divine.** A Sant-Satguru is empowered to
initiate and liberate souls. A Poora Guru alone can return us to our source.*** He
comes upon earth to repeatedly to liberate us.$ He is considered the Greatest of
Paropakaris- benefactors of Man.% His life is His message.@ Satguru vs. God.#
Cardinal Principles of Spirituality: 1. God is love 2. God resides within human
body-temple, but its 10th door or Third Eye is locked-in 3. A living Sant-Satguru-
perfect Master is essential 4. He graces the initiate with a connection with God thru
Naam- the Divine Link of inner Light & Sound 5. He takes his initiate’s storehouse
of karmas upon himself 6. Unlocking Third Eye, He begins to reside there,
becoming his protector in this world and the next 7. He teaches the initiate ‘Surat-
Shabd Yoga’ meditation, whereby he can attain liberation from bondage of mind-
matter in ‘8.4 mill. life-forms’ & ‘Law of Karma’ 8. and achieve knowledge of the
Self and ultimately, unite his soul with God (the seer and the seen, merge).

Sant-Mat- an Introduction
4.
5.
6. Through the ages: Kabir Sahib came in all Yugas. The present age- Kali-Yuga
is considered the best of Ages in Sant-Mat: Surat catches the Shabd easily, No
Avataars of ve Power come during this Age. Sant-Mat prophesies of a ‘Golden
Age of Spiritual Awakening’. ‘Do nothing’ option leads to the bondage of ‘default
Guru’–Lord of Death & Destruction, Mahadeva. Internationalized today as Super-
religion, this, eminently suited for the day, Cosmic faith is based on pure
Spirituality. Its source–India, thereby, plays the role of world’s Dharma-Guru.
Sant-Mat as an exclusive faith: Its scope goes well beyond run-of-the-mill
institutionalized religions that deal with the mere Microcosm; instead, it
envelopes the entire Macrocosm.* The ancient-most science remains essentially
the same, but its ‘packaging’ varies in accordance with the prevailing time-space
conditions. The present living perfect Master—an engineer-scientist, presents
Sant-Mat as ‘Mother of all Science’.
Sant-Mat as ‘Science of Spirituality’: Meditation is experimentation within
human body-temple. All conditions of ‘science’ such observability & repeatability
under different conditions are met fully by it. While external science is based on
assurance by external physical sensory agencies; in SoS ,by the inner spiritual
ones: Surat- ability to hear (higher principle) & Nirat- ability to see within (lower
principle) [These terms also respectively mean: Soul & Sutratma- soul-string.]
*[Sant mata kachu aur hai, jin khoja tin payee]
Sant-Mat- an Introduction (contd.)
7. Spirituality is Paradoxical: Sant-Mat is known as ‘Ulta-mat’.* Paradoxes (like in
‘Alice in Wonder-land’) abound: e.g. ‘To lose all is to gain all’; ‘One becomes truly
liberated by becoming a true slave of the perfect One.’ ‘To let go of the reins is to
bring the chariot (of life) under full control’; ‘God helps those who do not help
themselves’.
Spirituality Concepts: Happiness** & Truth lie within us.*** Kathni-Karni-Rehni,
Manmukhta- Gurmukhta. Tolerance of existing social mores, does not seek to
create new society, no conversion (of religion)- just inversion (of attention).
What Spirituality is not:
• mere exoteric knowledge (of the outer world)
• for outer good fortunes, but instead, for winding up karma
• Spiritism, Occultism, Shamanism, Faith-healing etc.
• about display of Riddhi-Siddhis- miraculous magic powers
• path of ‘Negative Mysticism’- escaping worldly duties to find God
• just about ritual praying, but about connecting with God-Power
• about visualizing God or Satguru, who appears by himself (Khud-aa)
• worship of various deities, avatars etc., instead worship of Supreme God only
* [Ulta kuan gagan mein…], ** [Sukhi soi jin Naam aadhaar…] [Sukhi Sant ka Das],
*** [Sabh kich ghar mein, baahar naahin…], [Vastu kahin, dhoondhe kahin…]
Spirituality- what it is, what it is not
8. Satguru: He is the Divine Son, 'Word-made-flesh’, who takes us from
darkness unto light. He, being connected Himself, gives us direct connection
with God. His triple forms are: Deh-Guru: who teaches Surat-Shabd Yoga, gives
satsangs, solves even our mundane problems; Guru-Dev: radiant form at Third
Eye, and Sat-Guru: same as Sat Purush- the Cosmic Father, Karta-Purush-
Supreme Creator at Sat-Lok. His Qualities.** He provides us the greatest
wealth of all, yet lives on His own earnings. He is our willing ‘Unpaid worker’
(provided we let Him be); He is the greatest of doctors as well.***
Sat-Naam: Creative power of Cosmos in the form of inner Light & Sound, by
which unmanifest becomes manifest. Divine Link between Creator & Creation,
‘Cosmic Mother’, Amrit- Nectar, True Wine of Eternal Life,**** Greatest gift in the
two-worlds. It is Anahad & Anahat- continuous, unstruck Melody played by
God’s own hands. Varnatmak & Dhunyatmak Naams. It is common principle of
all religions, also known as: Naad, Shabd, Bani, Akhand Kirtan, Akashvani,
Udgith, Jyoti-Shruti, Logos, Tao, Sultan-ul-Azkar (King of Prayers), Saut-e-
Sarmadi (Divine Song), Nida-e-Aasmaani (Sound coming from Heaven),
Kalaam-e-Qadim (Ancient Sound), Kalma, Sonorous Light, Music of the
Spheres, The Voice of the Silence, Holy Word or Spirit or Ghost, Comforter, etc.
*[‘Lamp-Socket-Powerhouse’ analogy], ** [Saadho, so Satguru mohe bhaaye…],
*** [Sarab rog ka aukhad Naam], **** [Naam khumaari Nanaka…]
Pillars of Sant-Mat
9. Satsang: is the nner and outer company of a true Satguru, who is the very
embodiment of ‘Sat’- Truth, wherein His grace is received directly- mostly
through gazing at his eyes.
Sewa: * by means of Tan-Man-Dhan and Surat (bodily, mentally, financially
and spiritually). Service should be nishkaam- selfless. Its benefits are: expansion
of the self, purity, receiving grace. It merits equal weight as meditation itself.
Sadachar: Ethical virtues such as non-violence, truth, honesty, contentment,
abstinence, cleanliness, faith, detachment, purity, sweet speech, forgiveness,
humility, patience, charity, honest livelihood etc. Though essential, these virtues
are but mere ‘stepping-stones to Spirituality’. Daily ‘Introspection Diary’ is meant
to evaluate ethical and spiritual progress.
Samarpan: God already provides what is best for us;** makes all of one’s
actions karma-free, as Satguru bears them; One becomes ‘Conscious Co-worker
in the Divine Plan’; life becomes ‘automated’ and its vicissitudes easier to accept.
Sat-Anurag: The way back to God is only through love.*** Ishq-e-Majazi vs.
Ishq-e-Haquiqui, i.e. worldly vs. Divine Love. The 9 Sufi signs of a true lover.
*[Satguru ki sewa saphal…], **[Tera bhaana meetha laage…], ***[Jini prem kiyo…]

10. Nine signs that distinguish the true lover of God
1.
He is racked with
constant sighs.
2.
His face becomes

3.
His eyes are
Always moist.
4.
He eats

7.

12. Quest for God/Truth has been an eternal pre-occupation of Human-kind, but
it mostly remains confined to the outer world, while the far grander inner world
goes largely unexplored.
Definition of God/Truth: As per Jap Ji.* God is the veritable ‘Anurag Sagar’-
Ocean of Divine Love, ‘Hairat’, ‘Wah’- ‘Wonder of wonders’, Sat-Chit-Anand: full
of Truth, all-Energy, Intelligence and Bliss.
God’s attributes: Infinitude, Eternalness, Omnipotence, Omniscience,
Omnirefulgence, Fearlessness, Self-willedness etc..
Soul: The soul is an essence of God. God is love; the soul, being of the same
essence as God, is also love.
Soul’s attributes: Unlimited wisdom, Immortality, Love, Fearlessness,
Connectedness and Bliss. All souls are feminine; God , the sole male, is their
Beloved. When fully uncovered, the Soul possesses light of 16 sun-moons.**
The Bhagawad Gita describes the enslaved soul as rider in the chariot of
body; the charioteer is dazed intellect; reins are the infatuated mind; and senses
the steeds rushing headlong into field of sensory objects/ pleasures. Instead,
the soul should have been in control of the mind, and mind of the body.
*[Aadi Sat, Yugaadi Sat….], **[‘Princess cleaning toilet’ analogy]
Attributes of Oversoul (God) & Soul
13. Naam: The Creative power of God is Amrit- nectar, Kalpa-vriksha, true
Soma-rasa, medicine for all spiritual-mental-physical ailments. The 5 verbal
Naams serve as passwords into the inner regions en-route its journey Home.
Naamdan: Spiritual initiation/baptism/granting of visa to the True Home. It
gives to the soul a first-hand contact with Naam- the rope upon which to climb
and return to its source: its own true, pristine home, Sach Khand. Giving this
priceless gift, Satguru takes over initiate’s Sanchit Karmas.* Prarabdh remain as
a shell, whose bite the Satguru minimises. Kriyamaan require meditation and
self-surrender to Satguru for their negation.
Naamdan is Soul’s awakening,** Dwi-janma- ‘born again’—in the spirit (the
first birth being in flesh); Satguru being its spiritual Father. The Jiva becomes
part of His spiritual family for ever and ever and is now sure to reach its source.
Satguru teaches ‘Surat-Shabd Yoga’, wishes initiates to rise above physical
body-consciousness through Sumiran to the Third Eye (where He comes to
reside in His Radiant form, becoming the inner guide) and come in contact with
true Naam. Then He takes and guides the initiate through the Inner Regions.
Vegetarian/non-intoxicating diet, leading an ethical life are a must for the
initiation. Else, in present age, it is open to all irrespective of caste, race, sex.

Naamdan/Deeksha- Spiritual Initiation
14. Karma
“As you sow,
so shall you reap.”
Types of Karmas:
1.Sanchit: Storehouse karmas,
as yet not fructified.
2.Prarabdh: Fate karmas,
constituting 75% of present life.
3.Kriyaman: Ongoing karmas
created during the present life.
15. Stages of Prayer: Prayer 1. of petition or supplication 2. of thanksgiving and
gratitude 3. to be shown the way to reach God 4. for forgiveness and grace
5. through meditation.
Vegetarian, Sattwik Diet: contains 1 element (Water) only; incurs least
karma. This is also based on basic principle of non-violence towards other life-
forms. [Jaisa ann, vaisa mann…]. This an essential condition for Naamdan.
Astrology: the Prarabdh- fate, based on positions of sun’s Grahas- inner
planets at the time of birth. This comprises 75% of present life. However, in
Sant-Mat, Satguru may reduce its deleterious effects out of grace- hence is not
binding. Present alone is to be our focus, since future is what we make of it.
Miracles, Magic etc.: Sants do not indulge in display of Occult powers like
Telepathy, Clairvoyance, Clairaudience, Mesmerism, Faith-healing etc. Display
of Riddhis (of 6 types) and Siddhis (of 8 types), which come automatically, is
banned in Sant-Mat.
Karm-kaand- rites & rituals, idolatory: These are remnants of the ‘Black
Magic’ (Sorcery) of Atlantis 4th Race and constitute the kindergarten of
Spirituality. These all constitute –ve Vidyas and are proscribed in Sant-Mat.
Prayer, Veg. Diet, Astrology, Miracles
16. End to Chitragupta’s record of Karmas—Satguru himself administers Karma
now; takes over Sanchit Karma himself, Prarabdh end with life, and Kriyamaan
can be negated through meditation/surrender.
End to bondage of the ‘Cycle of 8.4 mill. Jiva-yonis- life-forms’, bypassing the
Linga sharira- Lower Astral region of the ‘Valley of the Shadow of Death’ under the
Tridevas.
Retraction of attention from the outer world of illusion, and its focus instead on
Third Eye- the ‘Seat of the Soul’ located within, between and behind eyebrows.
The Satguru residing at one’s Third or Single Eye becomes protector and
benefactor. At death, instead of the Yama-doots, He receives the initiate himself.
Transport into inner worlds full of bliss. Seeing the ‘Light of God’ within oneself
leads us to the realization that same Light is within others as well.*
Exoteric Benefits: End of the 5 perversities, expansion of self thru’ awakening
of universal love and other ethical virtues, good citizenship, Love, Unity, Peace
and Harmony on earth, better physical and emotional health and stress-relief,
improved concentration.
*[Ek noor se sab jag upajiya…] [Maanus ki zaat sab ekay…].
Benefits of Spirituality

18. Without contact with Shabd- Celestial Music, Surat- soul is blind and cannot
find the way within. Jyoti & Dhwani meditations—latter is for initiates only.
Markers along the inner path: Lights and Sounds on various planes. Real
Shabd (of Sushumna) is in Paar-Brahm.
Steps to meditation:
1. Suitable Time/Place
2. Suitable Posture
3. Focusing Attention or Concentration on the ‘Third Eye’
4. Silencing Thought
5. Contacting Inner Light & Sound
6. Journeying into the Inner realms
Acronym STAR—meditate Sincerely, Truthfully, Accurately and Regularly.
The twin Sadhanas: Both required, as in rock-climbing. 1. (a) Sumiran
(with ‘tongue of thought’) + (b) Dhyan (ideally in Siddha Asana) and 2. Bhajan
(ideally in specific Mudras). Min. 2.1/2 hrs (10% of day) to be devoted daily.
Stages of Samadhi: Savikalp- Differentiated absorption, Nirvikalp-
Undifferentiated absorption, Sahaj- Easy absorption; Nirvana/Moksha,
‘Fana-fil-sheikh’- merger in the Master and ‘Fana-fil-allah’- merger in God.

‘Nirat’ is the power of soul that awakens the ‘Surat’ (i.e. the consciousness) and leads it to
move on to the higher planes. Unless ‘Nirat’ (ability to see within) is activated ‘Surat’
(ability to hear within) cannot move ahead. Once the ‘Surat’ gets turned on to the
‘Shabda’, it gradually becomes one with it, and effortlessly reaches its Origin.

MEDITATION
POSTURES
However, Surat-Shabd Yoga is not rigid on postures. Meditation may be done even on a chair.
26. This is the true ‘Spiritual’ Yoga. Naam is the only means of Mukti in Kali-yuga.*
It deploys the vehicle of the Surat- Sensory or Attention Currents—requires the
‘carrot’ of Bhakti- devotion through Sumiran, instead of the ‘stick’of controlling the
autonomous (e.g. breathing, growth of nails etc.) Pranas- Motor Currents.
It is the True Sahaj Yoga- the yoga of ease, requiring no specific postures
for Dhyana. Sumiran can be done anytime, anywhere—far more effective and
easier than control of Pranas etc. for subduing the un-conscious mind. It is a Path
of ‘Positive Mysticism’—with no bar to domesticity.
It is a complete, ‘Master’ yoga—the only one that can take us to our True
Home, Sach Khand and beyond—to God. It includes benefits of all yogas. Its
Sahaj Samadhi is well beyond that of Savikalp-Nirvikalp Samadhis.
This yoga begins directly at the topmost chakra- the Aggya, and does not
require traversing the lower 5 chakras of Pind. Kundalini release is automatic. It
takes us through the shortest and middle path of Sushumna or Saraswati, (which
is ‘lost’ to the others; not left or right handed paths), the straight (‘Grand Trunk
Road to Spirituality’) path going all the way to True Home. Its Express Train has
stoppages at only the 5 main stations en route.

Surat-Shabd Yoga- benefits
27. ‘Mystery of Life & Death’: This needs resolution. The Paradox is that ‘Death is
Life; Life is Death’. Life is uncertain and death certain.* Man’s eternal quest for
immortality: Mummification, Pyramids, Ziggurats; yet ‘cognitive dissonance’ to
death. Meditation is ‘dying while living’. Life purpose is finding escape from the
‘Concentration Camp’ of Kaal- Time—the ‘default’ bondage of ‘Chaurasi’.
Process of Birth: This involves 6 Powers at Pitri Lok: Janma, Asta, Parinaam,
Vriddhi, Kshay & Mrityu & 4 Powers at Antah-karan: Manas, Buddhi, Chitta &
Ahankar: Physical body is fashioned out of: Gunas,Tattwas, Indriyas & Prakritis
according to the Prarabdh Karma, constituting 75% of present life, the rest being
free-will. Life is a mere ‘give and take’ of karma.
Process of Death: It involves snapping of ‘Silver Cord’; Vaitarni- river of dread;
3 pathways: Ida (Yamuna), Pingla (Ganga) & Sushumna (Saraswati); Pitrayana
(for Karmaths) and Devayana (for Upaasaks) paths. Akaal Mrityu cases often lead
to quick rebirth to exhaust Pranas. The Middle path of Sant-Mat is the ‘Lost
Saraswati’. The Initiate goes in Master’s company in total detachment and bliss.
Near-death Experience (NDE): Its transformative power is well known. It is
West’s ‘scientific’ connection with East’s long-held belief in metempsychosis.
