SAN FERMÍN

THE PARTY
 A celebration in honour of Saint Fermin, which takes
place annually in the Spanish city of Pamplona, capital of
Navarre. The festivities begin with the launch of a loud
bang (rocket) from the balcony of the Town Hall of
Pamplona at 12 noon on July the 6th and end at 24 pm on
July the 14th with “Poor me”, a farewell song.
THE CHUPINAZO
It is the name of the rocket which is launched
to mark the beginning of the festival.
TRADITIONS
One of the most popular activities in this festival
is the Saint Fermin bull run, which is a journey of
849 feet in front of the bulls, finishing in the
bullring. The runnings take place every day between
the 7th and the 14th of July and begin at 8 o'clock,
with an average duration of two to three minutes.
