1. Tuesday’s
Triple
Three:
The
Red
Carpet’s
Trendsetters

NY—This
is
hard.
I
mean
really
hard.
There
were
several
exquisite
and
elegant
gowns
for
the
84th
Annual
Academy
Awards.
But
as
usual:
we
could
only
pick
three.
This
week’s
edition
of
Tuesday’s
Triple
Three
will
highlight
our
top
three
fashion
picks
for
the
2012
Oscars.
Let’s
dive
right
in.
Jennifer
Lopez
has
built
a
reputation
for
wearing
revealing
yet
sexy
dresses
to
high
profile
events.
The
talented
actress
and
recording
artist
was
not
nominated
for
an
Oscar,
but
she
wanted
to
make
sure
we
all
remembered
“J.
Lo,”
the
next
day.
Lopez
wore
a
shimmery,
champagne
Zuhair
Murad
couture
gown,
which
accentuated
her
best
assets.
The
sheer
panels
and
plunging
neckline
must
have
subjected
Marc
Anthony,
her
ex-‐husband,
to
a
bit
of
torture.
She
looked
amazing.
Best
Actress
nominee
Viola
Davis
turned
all
heads
in
an
embellished
emerald
green
gown
by
Vera
Wang.
Davis
was
beat
out
by
Meryl
Streep
for
the
award,
but
she
was
the
epitome
of
grace
and
therefore
still
a
winner
in
our
fashion
book.
Furthermore,
every
great
look
must
be
accessorized
with
the
right
pair
of
sparkling
jewels.
Her
matching
emerald
green
earrings
complimented
the
natural
auburn
hair
that
she
rocked
for
the
evening.
We
think
that
Davis
would
be
the
ideal
brand
ambassador
to
add
to
the
CoverGirl
Queen
Collection’s
roster.
Lights,
camera,
action!
Emma
Stone
is
flourishing
as
a
new
Hollywood
favorite.
We
thought
the
crimson
dress
designed
by
Giamnattist
Valli
was
an
excellent
choice
for
the
rising
star.
The
high
neckline
accompanied
by
the
free-‐flowing
bow
tie
was
a
risk
that
some
actresses
would
have
been
afraid
to
take.
But
it
is
decisions
like
these
that
make
Stone
a
breath
of
refreshing
air.
Yes,
she
was
astonishing
and
owned
this
sophisticated
look!

2.
One
significant
fashion
takeaway
from
the
red
carpet
is
that
the
colors
for
spring
will
be
vibrant.
Women
can
expect
CoverGirl
to
have
new
makeup
shades
of
yellow,
emerald
green,
and
red
just
in
time
for
the
flowers
to
bloom
in
April.
What
are
your
thoughts
about
our
top
three
fashion
choices?
###
Rationale:
I
selected
the
Huffington
Post
because
its
readers
frequently
engage
on
human-‐interest
stories.
This
blog
post
is
newsworthy
because
of
the
prominence
of
the
talent
and
the
timeliness
of
the
event.
