Having a good advertising strategy in launching a new product will greatly
affect the success of the product to rank fast in Amazon. You would want
your new product to reach customers who are specifically looking for it and
in their "buy" mindset so that you can get a higher conversion rate, rather
than displaying your ads to random customers.

You were just starting to introduce your product to
your target customers, you only have a few
reviews and sales, you should be prepared that
your spending will be higher than your profit in the
first few weeks of your campaign. Remember that
Sponsored Ads are not magic it doesn't happen
overnight, it takes time and multiple optimizations
to achieve your objectives whether it is towards
brand awareness or sales efficiency.

Get the most relevant keywords that point to your
product dead on to narrow down our target and the
keywords that can mean nothing but your product.
There are a lot of tools you can use in performing
keyword research so utilize those.
Get the top 10-20 keywords
I suggest starting with a manual campaign first before doing
an auto one because we don't want Amazon to put your new
product in customers' search results that are not directly
pointing to your product. We can also look at it like we are
telling Amazon where to exactly put your product first since it
is a new product. We should choose an exact match, with
preferably high bids on the first week so our ads will have a
high chance to show. Go with a fixed bid since Amazon still
doesn't trust your product and it might always lower the bid
since it has little to no reviews.

Run your manual campaign until you get enough social
proof such as reviews, so that when you launch an auto
campaign to widen your audience you can get a higher
chance of a conversion. At least 3 reviews are enough but if
you want to wait a little longer it's up to you.
Get at least three reviews
Once you got enough reviews and you're confident enough that
even when people randomly browse product pages that are slightly
connected to yours, they will check out your product and will be
interested in it. Of course, that also depends on your product listing
so make sure you optimize it well and that it will make your
potential customers buy and give your product a try even though it
is still a new product.
