Kendrick Fincher Hydration for Life: Beat the Heat Summer Swing Golf Tournament
Springdale Golf Tournament Raises Funds to Promote Hydration Education and Bring
Community Awareness to Heat Illness Prevention
WHAT: The Kendrick Fincher Hydration for Life Foundation will be holding the Beat
the Heat Summer Swing Golf Tournament to raise money and community
awareness for hydration education and heat illness prevention programs to
ensure children stay hydrated during athletic events. The event will take place
at the Springdale Country Club and registration costs $400 per four-person
team. All proceeds will go to the Kendrick Fincher Foundation. Players can
register online at kendrickfincher.org.

WHERE: Springdale Country Club,
608 W. Lakeview Drive, Springdale, Arkansas, 72764
WHO: Rhonda Fincher, founder of Hydration for Life Foundation and mother of
Kendrick Fincher, and Sam Pittman, head football coach for the University of
Arkansas Razorbacks, will be in attendance.
WHY: The Kendrick Fincher Hydration for Life Foundation’s mission is to promote
proper hydration and heat illness prevention during children’s athletic
activities through educational programs and community support. The
foundation was created in memory of Rhonda Fincher’s 13-year-old son
Kendrick Fincher, who died from heatstroke complications following football
practice.
MEDIA OPPORTUNITIES:

2. A silent auction table will be held in the clubhouse and includes autographed memorabilia from
the University of Arkansas and Dallas Cowboys football team. Teams will warm up on the
driving range and putting greens at noon. Fincher and Pittman will be available for photos and
interviews before and after the tournament when presenting the winner.
