1. KOMPAS wants to make a campaign to
celebrate diversity in Indonesia. But, what kind
of diversity? And how?
2. Indonesia has hundred of regional languages, yet those who really
appreciate and familiar with regional languages are the one who are
race-related with the language. All of us are Indonesian, and we
should appreciate every regional languages.
3. There are lot of plus sides if you know any
regional languages of Indonesia :
You can get more friends than you can
imagine.
You can expand your networking.
You can haggle things at the local market
impressively.
etc…
Hence, why don’t we start to appreciate
them?
4. We offer a campaign that brings regional languages of Indonesia into
everyday life with KOMPAS.
5. Salam Nusantara
KOMPAS will invite people to say greetings in any regional languages of
Indonesia, in order to celebrate language diversity.
Why greetings?
It’s simple and…who doesn't want to be greeted?
6. We put a print ad in Harian Kompas about language diversity by showing people say
greeting with any regional languages from Indonesia, not just language they are race-related
with.
7. After that, people can enter www.kompas.com/salamnusantara and make
their own print ad version by uploading their photos. They can share it to
social media as well. Here you can see also who already join the campaign
and various versions of greeting in regional languages.
8. Once people post their greeting, they
will have a chance to be published in
Harian Kompas and kompas.com as
the next version of the print ad
campaign. People can see different
faces of Indonesian people with
different regional languages every
day. Yes, you may see yours too.
9. In the meantime, Salam
Nusantara Campaign can be also
applied in Kompas TV. Selected
programs in Kompas TV (news and
entertainment) will say the greeting
from any regional languages of
Indonesia as their starter line.
10. We hope that people will get familiar with any regional languages
and start to use them in everyday life.
