Duties and Responsibilities
 Ensure that appropriate work permit has been secured before work start.
 Provide safety signage’s at all respective areas assuring a safety sound workplace.
 Ensure all equipments such as (crane, side boom) etc, being used on the site have valid inspection sticker.
 Inspection of equipments, Lifting gears, scafflold, full body harness, fire extinguisher to ensure safe system of
work.
 To assure that each new employees, vistors, receives appropriate safety training at the start of employment.
 Make sure that PPE,s such as dust mask, safety glasses, footwear,coverall,and safety helmet is being used in
workplaces according to procedure and regulation.
 Report unsafe act and unsafe condition and mean to minimize and control them.
 Maintain all safety related documents such as weekly/monthly inspection Reports, Fire Extinguishers
Reports, Injuries reports etc.
 Coordinate emergency procedure, Fire Fighting and First Aid crews.
 Lead and mentor all personnel in safe behavior.
 Provide safety supervisor and department supervisor daily written report addressing safety issues within
department Including accident, incident, result of inspection, pending corrective action etc.

 Inspect work area daily and documents findings as per procedure, write safety summaries addressing
hazards found and conform with appropriate personnel to ensure action are closed.
 Conduct daily safety observation tours of high risk activities such as confined space; work at height,
radiography, hot work, Llifting, Erection and Dismantling of scaffold, blasting and painting, etc.
 Maintain daily records demonstrating fulfillment of meeting, coaching session, incident reporting and
inspection for supervisor review.
 Perform safety assessment of area and coaching session with employees on location regarding area of
performance improvement and opportunities to decrease area of risk.
 Responds to all safety related incident,accident,nearmisses,inform supervisors on the occurrence of and
incident immediately and detail incident including ,what happened and causes in writing reports .Ensure
action is taken. If necessary.
 To reduce cost (human and direct) of side accidents through effective accident prevention control and safety
awareness.
 Monitoring activities to prevent employees from potential hazards at assign area.
 To maintain a safe on site working environment through a proactive enforcement of safety regulation.
 Attend special meeting directed by safety manager to promote the project safety awareness campaign.
 Take prompt action to correct unsatisfactory conditions brought to attention.
 Organize safety training, join audit,Pre job meeting, conduct Tool Box Talk, prepare JSA,Gas testing,
 H2S awareness and training for new employees, fire fighting training, perform joint safety check.
