Sable Island is a small island located in the Atlantic Ocean, approximately 175 km southeast of Halifax, Nova Scotia. It is approximately 42 km long and ranges from 200 to 800 metres wide, covering an area of approximately 5,000 hectares. The island is known for its large feral horse population and is home to various plant and animal species that have adapted to the island's dynamic coastal environment.
