Dear Sir/ Mr. Employer
It has been my goal to work as an end user helper since I graduated from College where I
studied Information Technology System Support. It is always great to be able to maintain
technology. By doing so, every company would keep its business's effectiveness.
I had two summer jobs that developed some skills. The first one was in the year of 2001 when I
worked as a storage administrator in Golden Wing Establishment. My main job was to record all
the details that were related to the devices at the storage. As a team, we were able to rearrange
the whole storage which was very convenient for the management. I also was part of the team
that built and installed the Management office's furniture. That included some carpentering. The
second job was related to my profession. I worked as an IT technician in Project Management
and Development Co. Ltd. (PMD) in Jubail Industrial City. The job was more educating than the
previous one because I was applying what I was learning at Jubail Industrial College (JIC).
After graduating from JIC, I had my Co-op program at the Royal commission of the same city, I
believe that I can add more productivity and efficiency to the company. I have already
experienced the environment of the workplace. During my Co-op program, one of the duties we
were given as a team was to examine and upgrade over 3000 computers. Despite the huge load
of new computers, we were still able to deal with users' computer issues on daily basis.
For the past four years, I was a sponsored student in Canada. Although I could not obtain my
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, I was able to acquire excellent English language skills.
Also, I have learned that goals can be accomplished by many ways. Canada's experience
shaped me to be a better person and I am more than ready to start a new chapter. As an
employee, I would welcome changes in the workplace because adaptation is the key of evolution
and success. I believe that I am a hard worker who enjoys challenges.
Because Jubail Industrial City has many international employees, it is known that it is essential
for Arabian employees to have well-spoken English. My résumé showed that I had two Intensive
English courses. One of them was in New Zealand whereas the other course was in Canada.
Moreover, I obtained an Associate degree in Information Technology System Support. My major,
offered many English courses, involved practical labs. I believe that this was very helpful when
performing in a real workplace. We used to deal with real computer problems that included
networking, programming, databases, and system configuration. In addition to that, we had other
classes that taught us how business can be managed. I believe that I am equipped with the
needed skills and techniques.
After you have checked my attached résumé, I am very happy to answer any further questions.
Sincerely,
Saad M. Alghanmi
