In the library there are over 42 million articles Red Square – People believe the Red Square got its name from the red walls surrounding but its actually named after the Russian word “red” witch means beautiful. Alexander Gardens – the Alexander Gardens was one of the first public parks in Moscow. It occupies the entire length of the western Kremlin wall in front of the Moscow Manage

5. Sports Russia is well know for their athletes. The national sport is Russia is soccer. Russia is also the birthplace of some current NHL superstars including Alexander Ovechkin, Ilya Kovalchuk and Pavel Datsyuk. Russia is also home to the worlds top paid female athlete (Maria Sharapova). Russia also hosted the 1980 summer Olympics which where held in Moscow!
