Change Control Management Plan
Explain how changes are documented and submitted in the
change control management plan
Change control management is the systematic approach for
managing the changes that are made to system or the product.
The purpose of control change management is normally to
ensure that the changes that have been made or are going to be
made on how they have been made, their purpose and the
expected results from the change. It controls all changes that
that are made where documentation of the changes must be done
before the change has been implemented or tested for the
expected results for the change begins. Change control in
information system is believed to be the change management
component that deals with change for both organization and
individual levels.
For the corporate website project there several processes that
have to be followed for the website change management.
Through these steps, the changes to the website will be
achieved. The control change usually follows a sequence
procedures and steps that help in summation of the change
requisition for the system. The corporate website request for the
change has been based on the hardware, software the people
who will be involved in the phase, installation and the
maintenance change of the corporation website. Documentation
is the first process that has been involved in the control change
management. The process of documentation has involved the
above mention changes where it began with hardware
documentation.
The documentation of hardware documentation has included all
the hardware that are required by the corporate website that
include the computer for the software installation, printer and
the mobile device. Software’s are also other important for the
corporate website where software are needed for the website.
Operating system is important software for the computer pc
where it helps the computer to run and execute programs.
Application software’s are also very important because they
help the operating system to execute different and specific
programs. For the website to be in usage there is great need for
the web service software that will actually help the computer
run the corporate website to meet the purpose of the website.
The website needs installation and the storage and the backup
software for the corporate website that will help in recovering
the software in case of any breakdown of the computer that
might lead to loss of the software for the corporate website
(Sanghera, 2008). .
For the corporate website to serve the intended purposes there is
great need for people intervention in different activities that
involves that website. Analysis, development, testing of the
website, training about the website communication and
deployment team for the corporate is real important. The
analysis for the corporate website is an important activity that
should be carried out that will help the project manager in
website decision making. After analysis the developer of the
corporate website will start the website development after the
go head of the website has been given from the project manager.
This is a very crucial stage of the website which should be done
with great professionalism to meet all the required features that
are intended for the corporate website.
When the corporate website has been developed, testing is the
next step for the website. This step helps the website in
knowing whether the intended features for the website has been
meet and also on the areas that needs implementation. After the
testing has been done success and the required implementation
has been done, then the training on the website begins for the
project manager and the users. Here the familiarization of the
website is done to ensure both have full knowledge on the
website for accurate performance of the website and to avoid
unnecessary breakdowns during the working with website. After
this documentation is done after which the team is deployed for
the website (Mukri, 2004).
Installation is the beginning of the workability for the website.
For the corporate website to be installed successfully it requires
a domain name for the website. After the domain name the
website hosting is done which will be usually be done annually
to the website has required by the webhost. Web design is the
last installation activity for the website that will be normally
done annually to meet the standards of the website and in
implementation of any changes to the website. Maintenance of
the website will be done annually where changes like 200
graphic changes, 200n new pages, and 10 extra graphical design
and programming will be done (Snyder, 2013).
After this documentation has been done, the submission of the
website will be ready for the website to start its activities after
which other activities will be carried out especially on
monitoring g if the corporate is website is able to meet the
purpose that it was meant for and on the areas that requires to
be implemented to meet the website need.
