Standard 2 point perspective drawing. Concept of
a drawing of a butcher’s exterior
1 Point Perspective drawing of shopping
highstreet
Whilst on Holiday in my home Country, Zimbabwe, I took
fascination to the capital city’s landscape. I particularly admire
the way man way the buildings have reflective surfaces because
the constant blue sky and clouds are always being emulated. In
addition, I enjoy the way in which the architect formed an
aesthetically pleasing supporting structure towards the bottom of
the first building.
This is another building in Zimbabwe which I came
across. It’s a Shopping Centre in the heart of the
Harare called Eastgate.
Interestingly enough, the architect who designed this
building, Mark Pearce modeled it after a termite
mound. This meant that the entire building required no
air conditioning or heating to stay regulated all year
round
This is a demonstration of the kinds of ideas I can generate in terms
of a hypothetical design situation. In this case, a car dealership for
BMW.
In addition, these are the kinds of sources of inspiration I draw
from, i.e. everyday items like food and nature
This is an example of me showing my thought process by making
brief models to test out my ideas, as well as experimenting with
new shapes
In terms of producing design ideas, this is a good example of
how I take elements from different sources (for
example, duplicating a bridge and using it for form rather than
function)
An example of the way I thoroughly analyse a project before pursuing it.
This is a conceptual 3D CAD drawing I created. A hypothetical bowling
alley which is conjoint to the fast food restaurant McDonald's using
Google Sketchup.
Examples, of further design development, as well as perspective drawing
This is an example of the depth of research
This is another example of conceptual drawing
Another sample of idea generation, together with the merging of
two similar concepts
This is an example of design development, alongside a quickly made model to
efficiently plain the way in which my idea works.
