RSS allows websites to publish frequently updated content in a standardized format that can be automatically delivered to readers. Users set up a free feed reader account and then subscribe to feeds from sites they want updates from. Whenever those sites publish new content, it will be delivered to the user's feed reader where they can easily access and organize the updates from many different sources in one place.
