Chroma subsampling 4:2:2, 16 audio channels PCM
• Datarate for XAVC-I is 600 Mbit/s (75 MByte/s)
• ‘Proxy’, based on ProRes 422 Proxy HD (76 Mbit/s), is created on the Servers and
used for Re-Run trimming
• File Container is MXF OP1a
• Live Feed Ingest is realized via R&S Venice UHD server 2x Channel (4x3G-HDSDI)
• Backup by a AJA KiPro Ultra 4K server

• Central Storage is based on R&S SpycerBox Ultra TL:
approx. 500 Hours of XAVC-I UHD 50p material.
Data rates from 2-12 Gbit/s, depending on used capacity,
fragmentation, traffic,…
• Avid Media Composer are used for Editing and QC. Enhanced with
XAVC PlugIn (PDZK-MA2)
• Lab features a R&S CLIPSTER System as a mastering and coding
station, mainly used for conformity check of incoming IMF files
• 10 Gbit/s Network was implemented, based on redundant
Cisco Nexus 5K Core Switches
