Rovio Entertainment Ltd is a Finnish video game company founded in 2003 known for developing the popular Angry Birds franchise. The company was originally called Relude and later renamed Rovio in 2005. Rovio's founders are Niklas Hed, Jarno Väkeväinen, and Kim Dikert. Angry Birds was developed by a team of four people over eight months and became a worldwide hit mobile game franchise. Rovio has since expanded with additional games, movie productions, and consumer products based on the Angry Birds characters and brand.
