This document discusses the role of information and communication technologies (ICT) in social change movements and events in Philippine history. It provides four examples: 1) The People Power Revolution of 1983-1986 where radio broadcasts encouraged protests that ousted President Marcos; 2) The 2001 EDSA Revolution where text messaging fueled growing protests; 3) The 2013 Million People March against corruption where social media was used to organize hundreds of thousands of protesters; and 4) Google's People Finder database during Typhoon Yolanda which helped people track relatives during the disaster. ICT like radio, texting, social media and online databases have been instrumental in enabling social movements to succeed in the Philippines.
