Owen Obsidian begins as a large rock in the desert that is pushed into a river by a sandstorm. Over thousands of years, he is carried down the river and pushed under a glacier, which grinds him into smaller pieces. He then begins sinking into the ground, where it gets very hot. Owen feels himself melting as he nears magma. An erupting volcano shoots him out, where he cools and hardens into obsidian. Though he has completed the rock cycle, Owen knows his new surroundings will not last forever.
