Medea writes Jason a letter blaming him for the tragedy that occurred and for leaving her and their children. She details all the ways she helped and supported Jason in the past, including defying her father to help Jason retrieve the Golden Fleece. Jason responds by also blaming Medea for the tragedy and claiming he did not create it or do anything to make it happen, that it was her own choices and actions. He disputes her version of past events and says if she had listened to his plans, they could have ruled his homeland and their children would still be alive.
Presentación que destaca algunos elementos de las nuevas dinámicas que trae la Web 2.0. Sin embargo, son un abrebocas para temas de comunicación 3.0, pero es tema de otra presentación.
Step one: Write the original draft.
Write two letters one month after the end of the events in the Euripedes' play Medea. The first is from Medea to Jason. In it she must justify all her actions since the Argonauts arrived in Colchis. She must explain away a string of bloody murders and betrayal. Jason must respond and rebuke her point by point while giving his own view of the events.
Word Length: Both letters typed together must total exactly 800 words. Each letter should average around the 400-word range. Word count MUST be 800 exactly.
Step 2: Turn on highlighting and mark your strongest points. You can highlight single words, phrases, whole sentences, whole sentence clusters. Focus on capturing the most essential words that advance your argument

Dear Jason,
How are you feeling? From the horrible tragedy you created, you must be feeling terrible.
Well you should be. It has been a month now and what you did to me then was terrible, after all I
did for you .I did all the hard work you could not do. Having to define my father to the killing of
our children
For my love for you I defied my own father and I helped you get the Golden Fleece too,
which was my homeland treasure. Also I cut up my own little brother to keep my dad from
catching us when we were escaping from my father’s army. My brother would still be alive. I
stayed loyal to you then but you decided not to be loyal back to me.
After leaving my homeland we go to yours. Then I killed your Uncle, King Pelias so you
can be King and rule the land. Then we had to leave. That was your own fault. If you had kept
the people from banishing us, we would still be living there as rulers and the children would still
be alive.
After leaving your home land we went to this so-called new home. There you left me and
your children for new love in bed with the princess. That was your own wrong doing to leave us.
And because of your infidelity I had no other choice. Then my plan came all together. I had to
destroy your new happy life. Killing her was easy with the dress from the sun god. Do not feel
angry about it. You made her death happen because you wanted new love in bed with her and
chose her. The death of King Kreon I was hoping for. Then I agreed with on this one, killing our
children was the most difficult act, but I had to do it. It was that or let them be hunted down for
the rest of their lives. Suffer about it all you want but you cannot bring them back. It is all
because of your wrongdoing why they had to die. You in bed with the princess. You should have
seen this coming but you did not. Now you suffer in your new home.
Now all this suffering to yourself would not have happened if you had stayed loyal to me.
You and I and the children would still be together. Or if you had never come at all to my
homeland, none of this would had happened
. The one you now hate without reason,
Medea

I hate you. And I did not create that tragedy, you did. Yes it has been a month, and I did
nothing to make this happen. You did all that stuff to make me suffer; you do not love me for
who I was then.
You defying your father and helping me get the Golden Fleece was your own choice.
Besides I was helping get our new home peace. Cutting up your little brother was by your own
hands. The Argo could have out run your father’s army. Your brother would still be alive too, if
you did not let him come a long. Yes you stayed loyal to me, but I was loyal back from saving
you from your death of the arrow. Maybe I should have left you there.
You should have let me over throw my uncle Pelias instead of you killing him. It was
your fault. You should have listened to my plan. Then we would have been rulers of my
homeland. I could not have kept the people from banishing us. You could had used your powers
and kept us there to this very day. And yes our children would have stayed alive, if you only
listened.
This so-called new home you say was our new beginning. I left you only so you don’t
have to bear any more babies. No more suffering for you. I did not leave you, I come by every
now and then. But you make me leave as you sadden over nothing. You had many choices to
make instead of killing everyone. You could of left me and the kids and go to your friends
county. Your plan was your own choice; killing the princess, the King, and our own children.
Why did you even think of killing the children, I could have kept them safe. Now I have to suffer
without them. But you too are suffering about it; killing your own children. It’s all your
wrongdoing why they had to die. You killed the princess. You should have known better than
that. Now we both suffer.
Now all this suffering would not have happened if you had stayed loyal to me. Or never
came. Hating you,
Jason
