This document contains notes from Robin Sharma's Personal Mastery Academy held on June 11-12, 2016 at the Ritz-Carlton in Toronto. The notes cover a variety of topics related to personal growth, leadership, and achieving mastery in one's craft. Some key ideas discussed include developing clarity of thought to enable mastery, pushing past discomfort to achieve rare success, and utilizing rituals and routines to enter a "flow state" of peak focus and performance. Sharma also explores concepts from positive psychology such as gratitude, the growth mindset, and how surrounding oneself with positively-oriented people can influence one's own behaviors and thinking.
The document discusses the themes of freedom, self-acceptance, and tolerance. It states that we are free to be our authentic selves and go where we want to go without limits. We should embrace differences and allow each person to pursue their own path.

2. An effective school leader considers different modes of leadership including being autonomous in decision making, representing the views of the community, serving as a legalistic enforcer of rules, or viewing their role through a spiritual or religious lens.
3. Key responsibilities of the school leader include hiring the right staff who share the mission, acting as a fundraiser, storyteller and source of hope for the community, and overseeing ceremonial duties that reinforce the school's values and traditions.

DOES15 - Em Campbell-Pretty - From Teams to Tribes:Creating a “One Team” CultureGene Kim
Em Campbell-Pretty, Partner, Context Matters
“Birds flock, fish school, people “tribe”.” – David Logan
People naturally form tribes. It is just what we do. However, not all tribes are equally effective. Just like with regular teams it is the culture of the tribe that dictates its effectiveness. When it comes to succeeding with DevOps in the enterprise context it is necessary to think beyond the individual development and operations teams to all the teams involved in enhancing and maintaining the value stream, the entire tribe. When we launch DevOps initiatives we can get so focused on improving technical practices and how individual roles will change that we can easily forget to help the teams involved bond, foster a sense of belonging, shape their values and instil respect for one another. Succeeding with DevOps in the enterprise context requires explicitly creating and sustaining these attributes, building a culture beyond team’s individual identity to create a sense of tribal unity. In this session, Em will share with you her experiences and proven techniques for helping teams become effective and unified tribes.
