The bronze sculpture "Anne of Buckingham" was created using the lost wax process. This involves making an original clay sculpture, creating a mold and pouring hot wax into it to form a wax copy. The wax copy is then coated in ceramic shell material and fired, melting the wax out and allowing molten bronze to be poured in to form the final sculpture. After the ceramic shell is removed, finishing touches are applied like patination to color the bronze and sealing it.
