The Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) has a total of 30 planes including 2 Boeing 757s, 5 C-130H Hercules, 6 P3-K Orions, and 12 CT-4E Air trainers. The RNZAF has bases in Ohakea, Auckland, and Woodbourne. Formed in 1923 from the British Royal Air Force, the RNZAF focuses today on maritime patrol and transport with around 53 aircraft in support of the Royal New Zealand Navy and Army. The RNZAF mission is to conduct professional air operations to advance New Zealand's security interests.
