Simplicity brand drop side cribs are being recalled by various retailers due to an entrapment and suffocation hazard. About 600,000 cribs are part of the recall, which were sold between 2005-2008 for $150-$300. The drop side can detach from the crib due to sizing problems with the hardware, creating a gap where infants can get stuck. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled cribs and contact the place of purchase for a refund or store credit.

This document summarizes a high court case challenging the constitutional validity of Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code, which criminalizes "unnatural offences". The petitioner argues Section 377 infringes on fundamental rights and should not apply to consensual acts between adults. The Union of India filed contradictory affidavits, with the Ministry of Home Affairs seeking to retain Section 377 but the Ministry of Health noting it hampers HIV/AIDS prevention efforts. The court examines the history and interpretation of Section 377 and arguments regarding privacy, discrimination, and other rights.

Trinity Health is a large Catholic healthcare system that serves patients regardless of ability to pay.
Lyndon Johnson's Great Society program in the 1960s aimed to tackle poverty and inequality through sweeping social welfare reforms. It established programs like Medicare, Medicaid, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Johnson was able to pass these reforms due to his landslide election victory in 1964, which gave Democrats control of Congress. However, momentum slowed by the mid-1960s as Congress and the public grew concerned about the pace and cost of reforms. The document discusses whether similarly large-scale legislative changes could be implemented today.
This document discusses effective messaging strategies for health care reform. It begins by outlining the conservative and administration's messages on health care from 2009, which lacked narrative coherence and emotional resonance. It then provides three principles for effective messaging: 1) Tell a coherent, memorable story with values and principles; 2) Only use messages that feel emotionally genuine; 3) Understand what existing associations and networks a message may activate. The document advocates testing draft messages and developing a range of refined messages informed by focus groups and polls. It provides examples of alternative progressive messages on health care that were shown to test well.

The report examines trends in obesity rates, the health impacts of obesity, economic costs, and policies aimed at addressing obesity at both the state and federal level. It recommends making obesity prevention a priority in health care reform and launching a national strategy to combat obesity.
